Conceding weight away to all his rivals and looks held by Norab on the form of their encounter here one week ago. Winless on the level since September 2017.

Posted a clear seasonal-best when just losing out in head-to-head battle with Jacob Cats here last week. Must go on the shortlist off just 1lb higher if turning up in similar form.

Tumbling down the weights but was tailed-off over 2m at this track last week and is impossible to fancy on that evidence. Best watched.

Made handicap debut which offered plenty of promise when fourth to the in-form Platform Nineteen at Nottingham (2m; soft). Only 2lb higher now, and there doesn't look to be anything as obviously well treated in this race so she holds strong claims.

Built upon promising seasonal reappearance when third at Lingfield (2m; good to firm) to finish three-quarter length second over 2m at this venue last month. Holds Demophon on that evidence and this C&D winner is of major interest.

Steps up markedly in trip after finishing tailed-off over 1m4f at this track last month. Went close over 2m when third to the thoroughly progressive Timoshenko last year, but nowhere near that level of form this year.

Largely struggling for form of late and he made a quiet comeback on the level here last week after being pulled-up over hurdles at Stratford. Difficult to make a case for at present and others have stronger claims.

Just over four-length behind Danglydontask on the basis of their encounter here last month. Another good effort when just missing out on the placings at Chelmsford on the AW over this trip 13 days ago. Vulnerable for win purposes.

Enjoying a fruitful time of things over hurdles of late, and scored over 2m here a couple of years ago. Not shown that same zest on the level in recent months, but is evidently in a good place so has place claims at best.

Easy to rule out after showing very little in 12 starts. Dropped another 6lb by the handicapper, so is competing off a basement mark now. Watching brief advised as she goes beyond 2m for the first time.

Surprising that she hasn't been able to show improvement for the step up in trip/switch to this sphere for operation that does so well with such types. Now steps up in trip from 1m6f to 2m2f and is surely capable of better than she has shown so far.

Forecasts

Volcanique (10/3), Constraint (10/3), Norab (4/1), Danglydontask (11/2), Tsundoku (7/1), Arty Campbell (9/1), Demophon (12/1), Nordenfelt (25/1), Crindle Carr (28/1), Everlasting Sea (33/1), Mustaaqeem (50/1)

Verdict

She hasn't delivered in handicaps just yet, but the application of first time blinkers and the step up to this marathon trip may work the trick for VOLCANIQUE whose trainer is a past master with such types. The unexposed Constraint is a huge danger to the selection after making a handicap debut which suggested there are races to be won with her when she finished fourth to Platform Nineteen who has since franked that form. He is more exposed than the aforementioned pair, but Danglydontask simply has to enter calculations after following up his eye-catching comeback effort with a narrow margin defeat over slightly shorter here last month.
