Respected for top connections, but looked one paced when stepped up markedly in trip to 1m2f at Sligo after contesting races run over 6f/7f. Concedes 7lb to main dangers too.
Posted a clear career-best effort last time when making the frame at Down Royal (1m2f; yielding). Now makes hurdles debut, but likely to be more of a handicap project and he is subsequently best watched for now.
Makes hurdles/seasonal debut after a trio of low-key efforts in maiden company on the flat last year. Hard to know what to expect from him now. Unlikely to feature towards the head of proceedings.
All his best form has been achieved on the AW at Dundalk, and he is impossible to fancy on the basis of what he has shown of late. Hurdles debut was uninspiring when miles behind Harvest Bow, and he was well-behind Belle Cora on the level last time.
Ran only five days ago when third at the Curragh (1m2f; yielding to soft). That was a marked step up on her previous two showings before that effort, and she is an interesting recruit to this sphere.
Hurdles newcomer who is a seven-race maiden on the flat, but she posted an encouraging effort when staying on strongly towards the finish when fifth here last time over 1m3f. Possible place claims if jumping fluently enough.
Good record on the flat, and made a fine start to life over the sticks when she was runner-up at Roscommon (1m7f; soft). Should improve, and likely to be hard to beat.
Sent off at big prices in five runs on the flat, and has been well-beaten on each of those. Stable in good form but can only be watched on hurdles bow on all she has shown so far.
Was never dangerous when seventh in an eight-runner affair at Ballinrobe (2m1f; yielding) on hurdles debut last week. This isn't any easier, and she is likely to struggle once again.
Once-raced filly who makes hurdles/seasonal debut after showing very little when sixth in a warm maiden at Cork (7f; good to firm) last year. Bit to prove.
Forecasts
Harvest Bow (4/5), Fujimoto Flyer (3/1), Belle Cora (5/1), Clashaniska (10/1), Fassbender (16/1), Early Voice (22/1), Vhagar (25/1), Mianna (50/1), Our Nancy (50/1), Sean Says (66/1)
A race full of hurdling newcomers, but one who already has experience is HARVEST BOW who is highly likely to prove hard to beat after she made a positive start to life over obstacles when just failing to justify market favouritism (15/8f) when second at Roscommon. Of the newcomers, Fujimoto Flyer looks to be the natural next-best option after showing some promise in middle-distance flat handicaps, including when a staying on fifth last time out. Clashaniska represents Gordon Elliot and is also worth considering from an each-way perspective given she has shown a fair level of ability on the level and is likely to be well schooled ahead of this first hurdles assignment.
- Harvest Bow
- Fujimoto Flyer
- Clashaniska
