Bidding for a hat-trick of wins following success over this distance on the AW at Lingfield and on turf at Brighton respectively. Has been raised 3lb in the weights but is in good form so she has a great chance of another victory here.

Scored on the AW at Wolverhampton (1m1½f) back in April. Went close to following it up at Chelmsford (1m2f) on his next start but had to settle for second place of seven. Has been well beaten on his last two runs. Needs to bounce back.

Has a decent strike-rate on turf with three wins from 10 starts. Was successful at Doncaster (1m2f) three runs back. Could only finish fourth of five last time at Ripon (1m2f) when going off as the 15/8 favourite. Can't be discounted.

Was successful for the first time for his new yard two starts back at Chester (1m2½f). Stepped up in trip at Haydock (1m3½f) on his latest effort where he finished sixth of nine. Back down in trip. Each-way claims.

Was a winner over 2m earlier this season but more recently has been running over much shorter trips. Came close to opening win for his new yard on his latest start at Haydock (1m2f) where he was second of 11, beaten a neck. One to consider.

Scored three times last year but has been poor in 2019 so far. His last start came on the AW at Kempton (1m) where he could only finish eighth of 10. Back up in trip for first run for new yard. Hard to make a case for on recent form.

Came out on top at Newbury over this distance on his penultimate start where he was on the right side of a tight finish to prevail by a neck. Was well held last time at Haydock (1m2f), finishing eighth of 11. Needs to produce more off this mark.

Won over this C&D last time to end a long losing run. He was driven clear in the closing stages to score by 2¾L in the seven-runner contest. Has been raised 5lb for that success but he has won off a 7lb higher mark than this. One for shortlist.

Was successful three times in 2018 but has struggled in his latest campaign. Returned to turf on his latest start at Bath (1m) where he was last of five on first run for new yard. Difficult to make a case for on recent form.

A C&D winner here last year. Went close to another success at this track over the same distance last time when second of seven after going off as the 9/4 favourite. Remains off the same mark as her last start. Leading contender at a track he enjoys.

Forecasts

Black Lotus (3/1), High Acclaim (7/2), Medalla De Oro (11/2), Statuario (13/2), Perfect Refuge (7/1), The Jean Genie (8/1), Prevent (12/1), Global Art (16/1), Sing Out Loud (20/1), Rock Icon (33/1)

Verdict

THE JEAN GENIE is looking for her third straight win and the 3lb rise in the weights is unlikely to stop her from completing her hat-trick. She was staying on strongly at the finish last time at Brighton which indicates there is still much more to come from the mare. High Acclaim was successful over this C&D on his latest start and he is clearly one of the leading contenders here once again, while Perfect Refuge looked to be close to her best last time here so expect her to be in the frame.
  1. The Jean Genie
