Had an easy day when she won over a mile here last December (at odds of 1/10) but not progressed in three starts since. Poor effort when dropped back to 1m last time (admittedly in decent company) but something to prove in first-time cheekpieces..
Already won three times over this trip and also has a couple of 7f wins on the AW (at Chelmsford and Wolverhampton) to her name. Looks weighted to the limit but the likable attitude could see her through. Dangerous to underestimate.
Yard confidence boosted by the big race win at Ripon on Saturday and this filly ran with credit at that same course last August. Didn't fire there last time out but interesting now she's fitter and switched to the AW. Worth a betting check.
Impeccably-bred filly who won a novice stakes at Wolverhampton back in February; not so effective since returning from a break and tried in handicaps yet still an obvious chance against her elders on the official ratings if adapting to the surface.
Just ahead of Elisheba at Newmarket latest and already has solid form to her name (a narrow defeat of subsequent Sandringham Stakes winner Thanks Be being the pick). Won on Kempton's Polytrack as a 2-Y-O, so ticks in the right boxes. Leading chance.
Dual C&D winner and back on an attractive mark after a handful of heavy defeats. Shown a reluctance to race lately and was very slow to start last time, so risk attached. Still 1lb above last winning mark.
Out of a listed race winner who is a half-sister to Confidential Lady, who won the 2005 French Oaks for this yard; was a disappointing favourite on handicap debut but still unexposed and headgear can make a difference now she's back in trip.
Forecasts
Cantiniere (7/4), Manorah (9/4), Elisheba (5/1), Scheme (6/1), Geetanjali (16/1), Snowdon (16/1), Narjes (16/1)
MANORAH can confirm the Newmarket form with Elisheba and, given that she's already proven effective on the Polytrack (albeit at Kempton), this half-sister to St Leger winner Arctic Cosmos edges a narrow vote as the one to side with on this occasion. Scheme has scope to improve and gets weight from the rest so also merits consideration. Cantiniere is well bred and was an expensive purchase as a yearling and also offers the promise to get better over this trip.
