Well bred and showed plenty on debut at Windsor before going one better with a win at Salisbury last time, sticking to his task well. Form of that race has been franked in good fashion since and worthy of respect back down in trip on handicap debut.
Rattled off a hat-trick prior to a well below par effort last time out at Newmarket. Possibly didn't handle the track that day and might still be in form; dropped 1lb by the handicapper.
Got his head back in front at Chelmsford two runs back and while he was well beaten at Goodwood in his follow up bid, that was a tough contest and this is easier. May yet have more to give back at this trip and a useful apprentice claims 5lb.
Has already won three times this year but signs the handicapper has caught up with him judged on his latest efforts. Best form is on quick ground and others preferred.
Yet to win in 13 starts but has run some fair races in defeat this campaign and his run at Chester last time out was better than the bare result. Tough race to lose a maiden tag though.
Forecasts
Dalaalaat (11/8), Global Hunter (2/1), Global Gift (6/1), Smile A Mile (9/1), Lightning Attack (12/1), Amadeus Grey (25/1)
DALAALAAT is the tentative selection in a "trappy" contest having looked unsuited by the step up in trip last time out. He may still be on a fair mark and his apprentice jockey Cieren Fallon is good value for his 5lb claim. Global Hunter is an obvious threat on handicap debut while Lightning Attack might be able to outrun likely big odds after a fair effort from a wide draw at Chester last time out.
