Maiden winner in France on soft ground early in career but unable to progress after joining Richard Hannon and similar tale this year for current trainer. Makes AW bow from declining mark but form is a worry.
Bated Breath filly remains low mileage and showed a bit more last time out over this trip at Lingfield, when fancied in the betting. Only managed fourth, but could go well here with Oisin Murphy booked.
Daughter of Casamento was runner-up in 5f novice here in April on debut, despite starting at 80-1. Also fourth in 6f minor event at Yarmouth in May but tailed off since at Bath over 5½f. Makes handicap debut, watch betting.
More exposed than a few of these, she won a C&D handicap in May, her sole success in 16 attempts. Fair effort last time here over 7f from this mark and should benefit from dropping in trip.
Dream Ahead filly, improved when nose-second on her eighth start recently at Chelmsford. Gave first run to the winner and should have strong claims here with a repeat as Cieren Fallon stays on board.
Remains a maiden after 10 starts but she went close to that opening success penultimate over C&D when third of 12, beaten by just ¾L, in early July. Not in the same form last week at Chelmsford so needs bounce-back here.
Just 1-16, scoring over 6f at Chepstow in May. Has run a real mixed bag of races since however and hard to put strong faith in despite some good efforts here over 5f previously.
Eight-race maiden on turf and has failed to progress in four starst this year. Makes AW bow from sliding mark with first-time blinkers tried. Must improve.
Exposed maiden, her form on turf this summer has been regressive, including when tried in cheekpieces last time (discarded now). Makes AW bow with refitted blinkers on, watching brief seems safest.
Yet to get competitive in handicaps on turf/AW and remains unplaced in 10 starts. Sports a first-time visor here with positive effect needed.
Has shown glimpses of ability for previous trainer but also signs of temperament. Starts out for new handler in first-time visor and with something to prove.
Run green and tailed off in three AW novice races over 6f-1m so far, diverts attention to handicaps dropped in trip but with all manner of improvement to find.
Forecasts
Maid Millie (9/4), Lysander Belle (10/3), Molly Blake (4/1), No More Regrets (6/1), Miss Gargar (10/1), Boorowa (12/1), Casarubina (16/1), Brother Bentley (25/1), Quarto Cavallo (33/1), Supreme Dream (50/1), Andies Armies (100/1), Shawwaslucky (100/1)
Previous C&D winner Lysander Belle is more exposed than a few of these but should give her running and will likely benefit from this return to 6f. The booking of Oisin Murphy is a positive on Molly Blake, fourth at Lingfield last time when well supported in the betting but this may go to MAID MILLIE. She was an unlucky second at Chelmsford a week ago under this rider and, granted a fair run, can earn compensation.
- Maid Millie
- Molly Blake
