By Dubawi out of an Oaks winner, this 1.1 million guineas half-brother to the smart Telecaster failed by just a neck to land a good Newmarket maiden recently and appears to have outstanding claims here with the first-time hood applied.
375,000 guineas Frankel colt, half-brother to two German group 3 winners. Derby entrant for top yard whose debutants often improve for the outing. Nice prospect but will need to very useful to win here.
Stable companion of Al Suhail. Odds-on but unplaced on debut at Doncaster in June, and faded to finish seven-length fourth over C&D last month. Much more needed to score.
Price jumped from €52,000 yearling to €215,000 at Arqana Breeze Up in May so this No Nay Never colt must look the part. Dam Group placed between 1m2f-1m4f, but hasn't produced a winner yet in six foals. Worth a market check though.
Forecasts
Al Suhail (1/6), Boss Power (7/1), Imperial Empire (20/1), Tiger Crusade (20/1)
This looks a fine opportunity for AL SUHAIL to get off the mark at only the second time of asking. This hugely expensive colt went very close in what looked a hot race on debut at HQ and it will be a surprise if he fails to go one better. Boss Power, a son of Frankel, could easily be a good horse and is respected, but he'll have to be very good indeed to win on debut against a talented rival, while Tiger Crusade cost a bob or two and it will be interesting to see how he too shapes on this racecourse bow.
