Consistent sort. Ran twice at Killarney last month, finishing a respectable second and third in 1m contests. Runs to his mark each time and now has a leading chance dropped into claiming company.
Winner of a competitive C&D handicap in April and was last seen on the flat finishing 2L fifth in 7f Galway handicap. Rarely runs a bad race and should be thereabouts once agin.
Landed claiming contest at Sligo in May and finished a solid second back at that track in 5f claimer last week. Versatile trip wise and is now 9lb below previous winning mark. Enters calculations.
Formed has rapidly tailed off since Limerick success in April. Well down the field in Galway handicap (1m, good) on latest start. Cheekpieces are back on and now 3lb below last winning mark.
Winner at Dundalk in the spring but failed to replicate that form on turf. Regressed from recent efforts when last in 1m Musselburgh handicap last month. Revival is required.
Record now stands at 0-14 and finished tailed off in every start since September 2018. Latest 14L defeat in 1m Gowran Park handicap offers little appeal.
Losing run stretches back to 2015 and didn't look like ending that with never-nearer sixth in 1m Killarney claimer in July. Unlikely to be troubling the judges again.
Admirable veteran who has been well beaten in two starts this season, including when 18th in 6f Curragh handicap last time out. Back to 7f could bring out his best but age may be catching up now.
Has gone 13 runs since his last victory. Respectable ninth in 10f Navan handicap on latest start when failing to stay the trip. Mark is tumbling and holds each-way claims.
Fair fourth in Dundalk claimer but failed to replicate that form since. Further regressed with 11th at Roscommon (7f, soft) in June and has a break to contend with. Plenty to prove .
Sole victory remains Fairyhouse success on debut last year. Shaped with promise in C&D handicap on latest start and has been dropped 3lb. Leading contender in claiming company.
Thrice-raced maiden who was has been well-held in each start. Latest 37L defeat at Bellewstown (1m, good) leaves a lot to be desired.
Shaped with promise at Gowran Park in June but failed to stay 1m at this track last month. More needed off her current mark.
Finished down the field in each handicap start to date, including 11th at Fairyhouse (7f, good) on latest start. Very hard to make a case for.
Forecasts
Tony The Gent (4/6), Lincoln (4/1), Atlas (9/2), Heavenly Rainbow (11/1), Have A Nice Day (14/1), Red Avenger (20/1), Cosmic Jazz (33/1), Marylebone (50/1), Olaf's Boy (50/1), Dillygass (50/1), Duhallow Noelie (66/1), Oor Jock (100/1), Raise The Tempo (100/1), Rise Again (100/1)
Tony The Gent sets the form standard in this race and if running up to his mark he will prove very tough to beat, however his welter burden weight is of some concern as well as his draw. While the likes of the consistent Atlas, who has been contesting better company and thrives in large fields, Heavenly Rainbow and Red Avenger have made their mark at this level before. Preference is for LINCOLN, who found trip on the sharp side at Sligo but has been given significant leniency by the handicapper.
- Lincoln
- Tony The Gent
- Atlas
