Winner at this track in the past but couldn't back up recent Newmarket victory with 3L sixth in 1m Glorious Goodwood handicap. Chance she can bounce back but may be high in the handicap.
1m winner at Newmarket in June but has proved to be slightly disappointing in last two starts. Always held when second at Newmarket (7f, good) and is now 1lb worse off for that effort. Can't be ignored from a top yard though.
In good form this season and produced a career-best last time out to land Newmarket handicap (1m, good to firm). Nudged up 2lb for that effort seems fair and is well-placed for hat-trick bid.
Improving sort and deservedly got off the mark with gritty success in 7f Chester handicap in June. The second in that race has gone on to win since and commands respect from a powerful yard.
Yet to show significant signs of promise since Newbury success on debut and took a further backward step when tailed off in strong-looking Ascot fillies' handicap (1m, good to firm) in July. Plenty to prove in this race.
Has regressed since Kempton victory on seasonal reappearance. Behind Sezim at Chester on penultimate start before 2L defeat in 7f Sandown handicap. A bit to find on ratings to reverse the form with Sezim.
Thrice-raced maiden who was sixth of ten in 1m Chelmsford contest 22 days ago. Looks to be made for handicaps of this mark but comes up against some classy rivals in this.
Forecasts
Oloroso (10/3), Sezim (10/3), Alfred Boucher (4/1), Fabulist (4/1), Clara Peeters (8/1), Rudy Lewis (10/1), Quick (16/1)
ALFRED BOUCHER has looked progressive in his last two starts and won with something to spare at Newmarket latest. The handicapper seems to be giving him a chance and off a workable mark, this race looks tailor made to continue his upward curve. Sezim overcame the odds and a wide draw at Chester last time out and with that form looking good he would be the leading challenger at another unique course alongside Fabulist, who usually throws down a challenge but whose attitude has come into question now.
- Alfred Boucher
- Sezim
- Fabulist
