Made a promising debut earlier this month when she was fourth of 15 at Goodwood over 7f in class two contest. She is likely to improve from that opening appearance in what looks an easier assignment for her. Leading player.
Had just two horses behind her on her debut at Newbury (6f) in a 13 runner contest last month, eventually finishing 16½L off the winner. Up in trip here, therefore, the trip may not be as sharp. Will need to improve significantly though.
Muhaarar filly who ran green on her debut at Newbury (7f) where she came home fifth of nine runners after going off at 12/1 in the market. Switches to the AW here where more can be expected on her second start. One to consider.
Has struggled on her two starts so far, both of which have come on the AW. She was eighth of 10 at Lingfield (6f) on her debut and then came home sixth of seven over this C&D. Hard to make a case for on the evidence of what we have seen so far.
Invincible Spirit filly who was foaled on March 12 and cost €55,000 as a yearling. Her dam was unraced but is a half-sister to My Renee who won over 1m4f. Keep an eye for any confidence behind her in the market before the race.
Has been well held on her two runs so far. Finished fifth of eight on the AW at Chelmsford (7f) on her debut. She then took a step backwards as she only had one horse behind her last time at Newbury (6f) in a 13 runner field . Others preferred.
Was given an easy ride on her debut following a slow start at Thirsk (7f). She eventually ran on to finish seventh of 11. That experience will help her as she now knows what it is all about. Should give a good account of herself. Good chance.
Forecasts
African Swift (1/1), Kalsara (11/4), Sweet Serenade (7/2), Penpal (16/1), Golden Cygnet (20/1), Little Lulu (33/1), Pink Tulip (40/1)
AFRICAN SWIFT looked well on her debut where she showed signs of promise when finishing fourth at Goodwood over this trip. Much more can be expected from the filly on her second start where she should be a class above her rivals here. Kalsara is another filly who is open to improvement and it would be no surprise if she went close, while Sweet Serenade can build on her opening start at Thirsk to finish in the frame here for the first time in her career.
- African Swift
- Kalsara
- Sweet Serenade
