C&D winner on soft to end last season and has fallen now to a 2lb lower mark as a result of a mostly underwhelming campaign to date. That said he ran pretty well in his only race on soft this season so not taken lightly now.
Heavy ground Carlisle win over this trip in May his first in almost three years. Held his form well since on variety of ground conditions off this 8lb higher mark. Handicap leaves little wiggle room but should again go well.
Ended a near six-year wait when winning at Thirsk (5f, good to soft) in June and then remarkably followed up at Carlisle (5f, good to firm). Wide trip when below par latest at Beverley so possibilities he bounces back now.
Wolverhampton winner (5f, AW) in January will race on turf for the first time today. Only her third handicap and second start for this stable but not worth the risk against elder rivals who definitely have conditions in their favour.
Winless in nine 2019 starts although plenty of good efforts along the way. Overall record of 4-56 suggests that as usual he is likely to be in a battle for minor money here.
