C&D winner back in March, did it well and only 2lb higher here, so has chances from a handicapping perspective but not seen out since disappointing in April, and usual blinkers missing. Likely to need the run.

Bit below par at Chester last time (when made favourite) but possible the softer underfoot conditions didn't suit her there, and is better judged on her win over this trip at Kempton the time before. Early days with this yard and could do better.

Winner over 10f at Windsor in May and has run very respectably all summer, not beaten far at all at Newbury last time but this drop back to a mile could be an issue, given better form has come over further. Needs a solid gallop to hold best chance.

Didn't have to improve to win a C&D seller here in May, purchased by current connections post-race but disappointed on first start for them at Windsor and now a visor is tried. Looks very risky.

Looked progressive last winter and won a little handicap at Newcastle along the way, but three starts this year suggest he's rather lost his way at present. On a fair mark now, but others look more persuasive.

In the frame in all three novice/maiden starts but in truth, hasn't progressed form that and two runs in handicaps have left plenty to be desired. Blinkers given a go now, which could help, but needs to get himself back on track.

No win since his debut (for another yard) in 2017, and doesn't look like adding to it here after a well beaten last of six at Epsom last time. May be a bit fitter for that first run after a break, but very hard to fancy from a poor draw.

Very useful handicapper at his peak for David Menusier but looks on the downgrade at present and first start for new yard saw him finish well beaten at Wolverhampton. Can't be touched until showing a bit more.

Came good at Chelmsford from a 3lb lower mark in May, and clearly this trip suits, but last two starts have seen him beat just a couple home, and stall 11 no help here either. Easy enough to look elsewhere.

Wins in his turn, as he did again at Brighton back in April, but consistency has never been his strong point and since then has turned in two moderate efforts. Trip fine, but draw not ideal and he may have to wait for another day for next win.

Had eight starts and in truth, hard to take too many positives from any of them, best effort coming at Southwell in May. Hard to make a solid case for and readily opposed.

Kitcarina (11/4), Glorious Jem (7/2), Delicate Kiss (7/2), Pheidippides (9/2), Lothario (11/2), Merweb (6/1), Dangerous Ends (8/1), He's Our Star (20/1), Come On Tier (22/1), Albishr (33/1), Sinfonietta (33/1), Tommycole (50/1)

Verdict

Hard to know exactly what went wrong with KITCARINA at Chester last time (possibly the soft ground to blame) but she didn't give her true running there and she's better judged on her Kempton win the time before, where she made all and stayed on strongly to win. She's pulled out the plum draw in stall 1 to try and repeat those tactics here and she may be successful. Delicate Kiss returned to form at Sandown on her latest start and looks the danger, and perhaps Dangerous Ends can run through beaten horses to grab the bronze.
  1. Kitcarina
  2. Delicate Kiss
  3. Dangerous Ends
