Caused a 33-1 stir when landing a Musselburgh maiden (7f, good) last month on second outing. Did it nicely but now must concede a 6lb penalty for his troubles.
Lawman colt finished well down the field in maiden at Leicester (6f, soft) on debut in June and will need to come forward markedly for that experience.
Footstepsinthesand gelding, should have learned plenty from debut fifth at Lingfield (7f, good to firm) recently and is entitled to build on that effort.
Mukhadram colt, unfancied 28-1 chance on debut recently in 7f Sandown novice on good ground. Showed definite signs of ability in that run and step up in trip looks the way to go.
Anjaal colt, dam unraced half-sister to useful 1m2f-1m4f winner Dance Partner. Likely best watched on debut unless betting suggests otherwise.
Toronado colt is a half-brother to several winners, including two-year-old 7f winner Don't. Makes appeal on paper, though trainer is just 4-74 with this age-group in 2019.
Failed to beat a rival home on debut at Chester over 5f in May. Wasn't fancied that day, faces a different challenge over new trip here, with improvement clearly required.
By Born To Sea out of an unraced mare from the family of Derby winner Generous. Ran very green on debut at Newbury (6f, good to firm) and finished last. May require more time.
Baltic King gelding, half-brother to 7f winner Born To Fly. Trainer having some success with two-year-old's this year (12-84) and merits a betting check ahead of this debut outing.
Cable Bay colt, dam winner up to 1m2f. Unfancied 50-1 chance on debut at Lingfield (7f, good to firm) 18 days ago and finished down the pecking order. Big step up needed.
Brazen Beau filly, half-sister to useful two-year-old 6f-1m winner Miss Sugars. Stable going well lately (4-16) and looks a notable newcomer here.
Filly by Derby winner Australia, has shaped with promise in a pair of 7f novice contests at Lingfield and Newmarket so far and will handle some cut underfoot that is forecast here. Should get in the mix.
Forecasts
Berkshire Savvy (7/4), Wallaby (7/2), Lucander (6/1), Anniemation (7/1), Alsukar (8/1), Alibaba (20/1), Island Storm (20/1), No Can Do (20/1), Big Boris (25/1), Olivers Pursuit (50/1), Tigerten (50/1), Herre Dittery (66/1)
Wallaby has shaped well in both starts so far and should go well stepped up to a mile, with softer ground a possible plus, while Berkshire Savvy should have learned plenty on debut in a decent race at Sandown and can build on it now. Musselburgh winner Anniemation will have to improve again to deny the penalty. Lucander offered something to work on first time out but a chance is taken with newcomer ALUSKAR for the in-form Dean Ivory yard. She's related to a few winners and should put up a bold show in what appears a presentable starting point.
- Alsukar
- Wallaby
- Anniemation
