Winner of a soft-ground York seller in June over this trip and ran best race since latest when third in a similar event at Wolverhampton on the AW. Looks a solid each-way prospect here.

Two wins from six including an easy selling win under this apprentice at Leicester and second best to a runaway winner at Ripon another very solid effort. Highest rated runner in this contest so highly respected.

Has some fair form overall but unlikely to break his maiden here having finished 2¼L and three places behind Calippo at Ripon last time out.
Half-brother to connections' moderate maiden Billy Wedge. Yard not associated with winning newcomers, and he's best watched on debut.

Not seen any evidence in four starts in which he's only beaten four runners home so best watched to see if first-time blinkers make a difference.

Disappointing on handicap debut at Hamilton latest but had a break before that and was tackling 6f for the first time. Earlier promise in novice company not forgotten so surely fare better here.

Fourth to Amnaa in a York seller penultimately his best effort to date but disappointed since at Catterick where that rival ran well latest so reversal less than likely.

Beaten only two rivals in three career starts to date so can only possibly be watched here.

Only 1L behind leading contender Calippo when third of nine at Ripon two starts back and although only fourth since at Wolverhampton she ran a sound enough race. Each-way potential.

Second in first two starts at Chester and Ripon before getting bogged down at Leicester latest. Potential here if surface sounder although no guarantees in that regard; up to 6f for first time.

£2,000 yearling daughter of Fast Company out of a dam who won at two. Market check advised here on debut.

Third in three of her four starts with the only blot coming in the ultra-competitive Newbury Super Sprint. Form of runs at Beverley and Windsor in May worked out well and looks a leading player here.

Third in a weak race at Beverley penultimately probably her best form in five starts but well held next at the same course and overall looks a less than appealing proposition.

Remains unplaced after five starts and latest seventh of nine at Musselburgh does little to inspire confidence in that changing here.

South Lightt31
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-6| J: Cam Hardie| T: A Brittain| OR:  49

Three very ordinary efforts to date including a ninth of 11 here and sixth of eight at Catterick latest leave her well short of the principals.

Forecasts

Enjoy The Moment (7/2), Calippo (4/1), Maybellene (5/1), Mr Fudge (5/1), Amnaa (7/1), Sparkling Breeze (7/1), Gin Gembre (20/1), Queens Blade (25/1), Beautrix (33/1), Inver Silver (40/1), Not Another Word (50/1), The Mystery Wizard (66/1), Intrinsic Bond (66/1), South Light (100/1), Jakodobro (100/1)

Verdict

Already having a money-spinning campaign, CALIPPO can gain a third success of her two-year-old season for her excellent trainer Archie Watson after another fine effort in defeat at Ripon latest behind a runaway winner. Maybelline looks sure to go well also after three good runs in four starts and rates the biggest danger although Enjoy The Moment and Mr Fudge both have claims also.
  1. Calippo
  2. Maybellene
  3. Mr Fudge
