4/5
Showed ability in each of her first three starts but still left that level well behind when a strong win on handicap debut over this C&D recently. Up 6lb but only likely to keep on improving for a stable in red-hot form.

Beaten favourite the last twice but has still raced to a consistent standard in three starts this year. Latest effort suggested a step back up in trip would suit. Stable in good form and a likely contender.

Yet to match the form of her 40/1 shock in a 7f Wolverhampton novice in April while racing to a consistent level on her three handicap starts to date. Dropping to a good mark but others may be more progressive.

No win in 10 starts and her last two efforts have a regressive look about them. Only previous AW run was on fibresand and would need this surface to resurrect her form.

Five-race maiden has looked in need of a touch further than this and was disappointing over this trip at Newmarket latest. Others look stronger candidates. Stable also runs Winterkoenigin.

Beautiful Gesture25
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-3| J: Tom Marquand| T: K R Burke| OR:  66| BF

Remains a maiden after five mixed efforts so far. Well backed when third at Nottingham latest which was a career best to date. Drop back of half a furlong should help and although this is tougher, she's likely to improve.

Billie Beane43

Battled to first career success over this trip at Lingfield in June but was subsequently disappointing off 3lb higher at Yarmouth. Down 1lb but this is tougher still. Others look better handicapped.

Ample Plenty16
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-8| J: Hollie Doyle| T: D M Simcock| OR:  57
20/1
Yet to win after five starts but barring her Kempton effort she's racing to a consistent level without improving. Step back up in trip a positive but this is her toughest assignment to date and improvement needed.

Forecasts

Alma Linda (4/5), Regal Banner (7/2), Beautiful Gesture (5/1), Universal Effect (11/1), Billie Beane (14/1), Kodiac Lass (16/1), Winterkoenigin (16/1), Ample Plenty (20/1)

Verdict

With her stable typically hitting a purple patch of winners ALMA LINDA can add to her C&D handicap debut success with improvement only likely. She's hard to get away from although the reliable Regal Banner would be the obvious danger were she to run below par. Considering the support last time for Beautiful Gesture, she looks a likely improver having perhaps got to the front too soon over slightly further.
  1. Alma Linda
  2. Regal Banner
  3. Beautiful Gesture
