55,000 gns yearling. Half-brother to several winners and made a slow start on debut before some late progress. Proved green and a likely improver but stable struggling for winners at present and plenty more needed.

Son of Speightstown and a first foal to a US dirt sprinter winner. Stable yet to have a juvenile winner this campaign, albeit from just six starts. Still looks a likely type on paper and market could prove informative on debut.

Union Rags colt on debut; first foal out of a US stakes-placed 6f-7f dirt winner. Doesn't really catch the eye on breeding and stable has only had one juvenile winner this year. Trainer also runs Cipango.

Very well bred son of Night Of Thunder who cost 200,000 gns as yearling and 260,000 gns as a juvenile. Powerful stable yet again boasting a high strike-rate with their juveniles. Looked in need of this extra furlong when a good second on debut.

Dawn Approach colt out of an unraced half-sister to G2 1½m winner Mouramara. Holds a Derby entry but showed little on last month's Newmarket debut and would need to improve out of sight.

€240,000 yearling purchase finished a promising third on Newmarket debut. Not far off that level at Sandown without showing improvement and now up a furlong. Debut sets the standard and stable in good form.

Forecasts

Global Storm (4/9), Moolhim (3/1), Daheer (10/1), Cipango (14/1), Falcon Claws (22/1), Master Rocco (50/1)

Verdict

The debut of Moolhim is possibly the best form on offer but he failed to quite match that on quicker ground on his second start. Therefore GLOBAL STORM, who showed a similar standard on his first start, is taken to improve past him as he moves up in distance. Daheer is the pick of the newcomers.
  1. Global Storm
  2. Moolhim
  3. Daheer
