Was successful over this C&D back in March. Has won over 6f at Wolverhampton since then. Could only finish sixth of 10 last time at Wolverhampton (6f). Needs to bounce back but now returns to last winning mark so has to be respected.

Both of his wins so far have come on turf, with his latest success coming last October at Bath (5½f). Has run modestly well this season. Down 1lb from recent sixth place finish of nine at Windsor (6f). Back to last winning mark. One to consider.

Has won five-times on the AW but has struggled in his three starts this season. He was seventh of 11 last time at Wolverhampton (7f). Down in trip here on first run since a wind-op. One to watch for now.

Scored at Lingfield (6f) on the AW three starts back. Has switched yards since then without success in two runs. Finished seventh of 10 last time at Wolverhampton (6f). Down 1lb but others are preferred.

A C&D winner here three starts back. Has featured over 7f on his last two outings where he has been held on both occasions, including latest attempt at Yarmouth. Is just 1lb higher than his win here so is in with a good chance.

Won twice at the back end of 2018 but still bidding for his first success this year. Was fifth of 10 last time at Wolverhampton (6f) on what was his opening run for his new yard. Blinkers on for first time here. This trip will suit so strong claims.

His sole success came on the AW at Lingfield (5f) back in January 2018. Produced his best run of the year last time out when second of seven at Lingfield over 5f. Down 3lb in weights. Each-way claims.

Was successful over this distance last time at Wolverhampton where he ran on well inside the final 1f to score by 2¼L. Has been running consistently well all season. Gone up 6lb but has won off a higher mark than this. Leading contender.

Has a fantastic record on the AW with four wins from six starts, including a C&D success. Was victorious at Lingfield over 6f two starts back, while last time he could only come home ninth of 14 on turf at Chepstow (7f). One for shortlist.

Won over this C&D back in March and followed that up with a success at Wolverhampton (6f). Form then took a dip but a return to AW ought to suit and drawn much better than last time at Pontefract.

Forecasts

Desert Fox (9/2), Papa Delta (9/2), Poeta Brasileiro (5/1), Daring Guest (5/1), Our Oystercatcher (6/1), Zapper Cass (6/1), Mystical Moon (12/1), Creek Harbour (16/1), Dark Side Dream (25/1), Sir Hector (25/1)

Verdict

DARING GUEST has not been out of the frame in his last six starts and his consistency was rewarded last time at Wolverhampton over this trip where he scored comfortably. This 6lb rise in the weights should not be too much of a concern as he is capable of much more so take him to follow up here. Our Oystercatcher is back off his last winning mark so should hit the frame, while Poeta Brasileiro was up with the pace until the closing stages of his 6f contest last time so expect a better result at this distance.
  1. Daring Guest
  2. Our Oystercatcher
  3. Poeta Brasileiro
