Absent since May last year so may be better for the run. Rattled up fine four-timer at this trip over four month period prior to that, rising 30lb in total. Only 1lb higher than last win but will do very well to score after so long on sidelines.
Nine-race maiden who doesn't look the most straightforward ride. Has ability and ran well after pulling very hard early when fourth stepping up to 1m6f last time. Chance at this longer trip if he settles.
Both career wins have come over two miles at Chelmsford but was solid third at this trip here on only previous try. Doesn't look obviously well handicapped and may find a few too good on these terms.
Twice a C&D winner, most recently in February when battled on well to score narrowly off 3lb lower mark. Again showed his liking for this track when narrowly beaten off just 1lb lower last time and has solid claims of adding to his course tally.
Three of his six career wins have come over C&D, last time being in August 2018 off 6lb higher. Had been in doldrums prior to much better effort here when beaten less than a length in third last time.
Previous C&D winner but has struggled since wind operation in April and hasn't shown much dash at all. Return to AW may help his cause but others are more appealing in this race.
Typically progresive stable three-year-old who has come into his own since contesting staying handicaps. Very impressive at Ayr last time. Despite 6lb penalty will be hard to stop if proving as effective on this artifical surface.
Forecasts
Land Of Oz (4/6), Jumping Cats (7/2), Le Torrent (8/1), Petrastar (10/1), Gavlar (16/1), Sunblazer (33/1), Author's Dream (66/1)
LAND OF OZ will take some stopping under his penalty if able to transfer his fine winning form from the Polytrack. He should prove too good for older, exposed rivals. If the selection fails to fire then Le Torrent could well be the principal beneficiary as he goes well here and is handicapped to be thereabouts once again. Jumping Cats ran well enough here last autumn and is respected, while Gavlar hinted at a return to form last time and is nicely handicapped on the pick of his old form.
