Winner of three races this term but well below-par last time. AW record reads 2-6 but questions need to be answered following that Ascot run.
Beaten less than a length in three of her six visits here. Goes well for today's rider and below her last winning mark. Return to 6f and drop in class are further positives.
Shot up the weights after landing a nursery and a few good efforts in defeat have seen her mark continue to rise. Out of her depth last time but this looks more like her grade.
Landed a summer hat-trick a Ffos Las in 2018 before the handicapper took charge. Signs last time she was adjusting to her new mark and she has been placed here previously. Rider has a good record for the yard and one for the shortlist.
Overcame greenness to land a couple of minor races last year and opening mark looks fair enough. Entitled to be a bit rusty and interesting to see how she has progressed during her time off.
Made all to break her duck on turf at Lingfield. That form has been let down since and suggests she has a lot of work to do here.
Finished ahead of Peggie Sue at Ascot and better off at the weights here. Has shown her best form on AW and over 5f. Bred to go the the extra furlong and hard to discount.
Forecasts
Lapidary (11/4), Rose Berry (11/4), Be Like Me (11/2), Lorna Cole (13/2), Sweet Pursuit (13/2), Irene May (9/1), Peggie Sue (14/1)
ROSE BERRY is reunited with Silvestre De Sousa and dropped in grade for what looks a good opportunity given her best form has been seen off marks of 81-83 and when the champion jockey has been on board. Sweet Pursuit will not be long in winning judged on her latest run, but Lapidary's Lingfield win has been let down by the runner-up and she has a tough task at the weights. Irene May is unbeaten and could be anything. Her initial mark is undemanding and it is a question of how fit she is after nearly a year on the sidelines. Lorna Cole is preferred to Be Like Me and Peggie Sue.
- Rose Berry
- Sweet Pursuit
- Lorna Cole
