140,000 gns purchase by Invincible Spirit out of a mare who won a Group 3 for this yard. Market often a guide to the stable's debutants and one of several newcomers in this to appeal on pedigree.
Dubawi filly is a half-sister to multiple winners. Showed some ability on debut without tearing up any trees, but still looks the pick of those to have raced.
Easy to back on debut and failed to make an impression in a race run at a muddling pace. Will know more this time, but others have stronger claims.
Fourth foal. Half-sister to winners Mirdif (Group-placed 6f 2yo) and Irene's Prince (Sweden 6f inc 2yo). Failed to get into the race after a slow start on debut and needs to have improved drastically in the intervening six weeks.
€280,000 Sea The Stars filly out of a top-class German mare. Stable's juveniles are a relatively modest 5-31 this term. The market is usually a reliable marker with the yard's newcomers.
72,000gns yearling by prolific sire Camacho closely related to Group Three winner Djumama and half-sister to four more winners. Little sign of that bloodline being passed on, judged by a modest debut effort, and needs to have learnt a great deal.
$300,000 daughter of top AW sire War Front and half-sister to a Grade 1 US dirt winner. Stable 0-10 with their AW juveniles this term and 7-48 overall with the age group.
Bred to stay and can only improve on a modest Ascot debut when beaten 17L. Will come into her own next year over much further than this.
Daughter of Dansili out of a useful mare who was a triple winner over middle-distances and liked soft ground. Stable showing signs of hitting a purple patch after a slow start and can get one ready first time out.
Forecasts
South Coast (11/8), Miss Yoda (11/4), Zagrah (4/1), Eltham Palace (10/1), Expensive Dirham (16/1), Gloryana (16/1), Prestigious (33/1), Walkonby (50/1), Loretta Lass (100/1)
The market should prove informative with Zagrah, South Coast, Miss Yoda and Eltham Palace all boasting attractive pedigrees. However, EXPENSIVE DIRHAM also comes from an excellent family and is taken to make her experience tell. She was not unduly knocked about on her debut and it will be disappointing if she is not capable of making her presence felt.
- Expensive Dirham
- Zagrah
- Miss Yoda
