Failed to score in seven Flat starts at up to 1m4f but has taken well to hurdling. Finished runner-up to Whiskey And Water on debut over C&D in June then stayed on well to score at Stratford last month. Penalised but should be thereabouts yet again.

Fair maiden on Flat at up to 1m4f and doing well over timber, finishing narrow second on debut at Hexham in June before beating What Will Be over C&D three weeks later. Fit from finishing second on Flat at Catterick last time.
Ex-Dermot Weld trained maiden but showed fair form at around 7f. Appeared to run out of puff both starts over hurdles so far and is held on previous running by both previous winners in the field.

Showed only a hint of ability in three starts on Flat for David Elsworth and joined current yard in May for 10,000 guineas. Well beaten in three Flat handicaps at up to 1m6f this summer and makes hurdles bow in first-time visor.

Landed two AW handicaps at around a mile last year for Hugo Palmer but was out of form in three runs for Gay Kelleway this season, Makes hurdles debut for new yard and with first-time eyeshield. Worth a check of any market interest.

Modest Flat maiden who has appeared very one paced at up to 1m4f. May be type to do better over hurdles and good rider booker for debut over timber.
€4,000 Requinto gelding, half-brother to a 1m2f Flat winner. Makes racecourse debut for yard with modest record of 2-53 over timber at this venue.

Ex-French colt who went close in a couple of juvenile hurdles the other side of the Channel. Makes debut for new connections and has plenty of experience to call on. Top rider booked and could go well.

Stable companion of Fenjal. Poor maiden on Flat at up to a mile and was tailed off from 3 out on hurdles bow at Stratford last time after failing to settle. Looks a doubtful stayer.

Won conditions race on in France on Flat debut in April and was runner-up in 1m7f clasimer at Maison Laffite in July. Bought for €40,000 to join new yard in England and makes hurdles bow with first time tongue-tie and cheekpieces. Interesting.

Finished last in four of five Flat start at up to a 1m4f. Of little account on level and will do well to make his presence felt on first start over hurdles. Returns following wind surgery.

Second in Lingfield 1m4f four-runner seller on penultimate start on Flat and is only modest on that evidence. Hurdles debut here with good rider booked. First hurdles runner at this track for trainer.
Modest form in four Flat runs for Marco Botti prior to joining current yard. Doing better in four starts over hurdles and is 6lb better off for finishing second to What Will Be at Stratford last month. One paced third last time at Newton Abbot.

Forecasts

Whiskey And Water (9/4), What Will Be (11/4), Lucou (5/1), Maria Magdalena (11/2), Paricolor (6/1), Andaleep (14/1), Gino Wotimean (16/1), Guardia Top (25/1), Inceyquincyspider (25/1), Fenjal (33/1), Enyama (66/1), Darwin Dream (66/1), Maktay (100/1), Parker's Pride (100/1)

Verdict

Whiskey And Water is preferred to What Will Be of the previous winners, but it might pay to follow the ex-French PARICOLOR, who along with another French import, Lucou, is an interetsing candidate. He showed fair form in France and has joined a top yard. Lucou has already gone close over timber in France and is respected, while Guardia Top is a newcomer worth monitoring for any market support. Maria Magdalena has placed form already over hurdles but may find a few too good once again.
