Well bred Invincible Spirit filly out of three-time Listed winner makes debut for top yard that has had just one previous juvenile winner so far this term. Should stay middle distances next term but may improve for this first outing.

Owner has won both previous renewals of this race. Plenty of pace in pedigree being by Exceed and Excel out of listed 7f winner from family of smart sprinter Dead Certain. Looks a likley sort for yard having a great campaign with juveniles.

120,000 guineas Dark Angel filly related to some good performers at 5-6f. Green on debut at Lingfield in June but stayed on to be fourth after a slow start. Will have learned plenty and may not be far away over extra furlong.

€500,000 breeze-up purchase this spring and this daughter of No Nay Never shaped with promise when fair fourth in debut at Newbury a fortnight ago. Extra furlong looks the right call.

55,000 guineas Muhaarar filly, half-sister to Group 2 winner Ransom Note. Nicely bred but may be better for this debut run with yard having a quiet time of things of late.

Golden Horn filly cost 35,000 guineas. Plenty of stamina on dam's side. Holds no fancy entries and may well need a little more time.

75,000 Gleneagles filly out of dam who won at up to 1m2d and is half-sister to 1000 Guineas winner Speciosa. Interesting pedigree but may improve for this debut experience with yard fairly quiet at present.

Bought for 120,000 guineas as a yearling, this daughter of Sea The Stars is out of a dam who won over 6f as a 2yo. Should stay further in time and might come on for the run unless market suggests otherwise.

€90,000 Canford Cliffs fill makes her racecourse bow here and is stable companion of Lover's Gait. Dan won over a mile so should stay well enough. Probably will be better for the experience.

Forecast

Dirty Dancer (7/4), Amber Island (2/1), Mira Star (13/2), Festive Star (7/1), Angel Of Delight (12/1), A La Voile (16/1), Lovers' Gait (25/1), Exotic Escape (33/1), Parikarma (40/1)

Verdict

A fascinating fillies maiden with very lttle form to go on. Both Dirty Dancer and Angel of Delight showed enough on their respective debuts to suggest they should play their part in this contest and are very much respected, but with her owner, Godolphin, having won both previous renewals of this race, AMBER ISLAND is taken to make a winning debut for a yard that has had a great time with its 2yo's this season. The remainder all have appealing pedigrees with A La Voile and Mira Star worth a check for any market interest.
