Raised 15lb for winning Worcester novice handicap chase in May 2018 but couldn't follow up in two starts soon after. Not seen for 416 days so clearly has had issues and has usually needed a run or two to put him straight.

Yet to reach a place in five starts, the first three coming in France. Returns from wind surgery having run poorly both starts in this country and makes handicap bow. Hard to get excited about him but remains a young horse who may yet improve.

Close fifth in Warwick 2m h'cap hurdle in April and was in process of running fine first race over fences when falling at last over 2m5f here last time when only a length down. Raised a tough 6lb but should go well.

16-race maiden who wears first-time blinkers but has generally proved disappointing despite at times threatening to go close. Continues to fall in the handicap but is hard to get excited about.

Needed some rousting but came good over C&D last time when taking advantage of plummeting handicap mark. Raised 8lb but arguably still nicely weighted on pick of last season's form so could prove dangerous again.

Well bred 13-race maiden who has continued to disappoint since transition from the Flat. Ran poorly last time here over 2m1f on second chase start and doesn't appear to have taken to fencing thus far.

18 races under Rules to date and has yet to trouble the judge. Been point-to-pointing without success last two seasons and looks to have a huge amount to find to score.

Forecast

Code Of Law (9/4), Auld Sod (4/1), Lord De La Mine (11/2), Camaplu (6/1), Prettylittlething (6/1), Golander (7/1), Sir George Somers (17/2), Cropley (12/1)

Verdict

CODE OF LAW has gone up 8lb for his C&D win last time but had previously dropped a long way from his old mark and could still be the right side of the handicapper. He's fancied to follow up. Camaplu fell at the final fence here last time out when still in with a chance and the drop back to this trip may help her cause, while Prettylittlething was a surprise winner after a long absence when scoring at Ffos Las recently and is respected. The rest have plenty to prove on recent evidence.
