Graceland^h³⁸

11/4

Won Sedgefield novice hurdle in April then returned from wind surgery to win at Cartmel in May and over C&D in June off. Only third at Southwell last time off this mark but track here may suit better and remains a contender.

Form: 315-113

Simply Loveleh^t¹⁸

Age: 6| Weight: 11-11| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR: 121| CD

5/4

Came good in 2m4f novice Uttoxeter novice hurdle in May then returned from 7-week break to win nicely over C&D last time. First handicap and represents top team so has every chance with possibly more improvement to come.

Form: 225-311

Green Or Black^p,t¹²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-9| J: Harry Reed⁽³⁾| T: N P Mulholland| OR: 119

5/1

Looked a fortunate winner recently at Cartmel when left in the lead at the last but had been running well and gone close at Newton Abbot previous start. 6lb rise makes life tough but yard continues in fine form.

Form: 143-P21

Shufoog⁷

Age: 6| Weight: 10-8| J: Brendan Powell| T: M D I Usher| OR: 104| D

7/2

Won Warwick handicap hurdle off 1lb higher mark last season and was fair runner-up in 1m4f Newbury handicap last time on the Flat. In good heart and feasibly handicapped so may not be far away.

Form: 31554-2

Timassini¹⁰⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 10-5| J: Adam Wedge| T: Evan Williams| OR: 102

20/1

Showed a little promsie on Taunton debut but ran poorly and was behind when fell last at Huntingdon second start. Never going last time at Exeter in April and off since then. Handicap bow but has something to prove on evidence thus far.

Forecasts

Simply Loveleh (5/4), Graceland (11/4), Shufoog (7/2), Green Or Black (5/1), Timassini (20/1)

SIMPLY LOVELEH is in form and unexposed, and has every chance of completing a hat-trick off a mark just 5lb higher than her win last time over C&D. Shufoog may give the selection most to do after a good effort on the Flat last time, while top weight Graceland can't be ruled out despite seemingly being reeled in by the handicapper here recently. Green Or Black appeared a fortunate scorer last time at Cartmel but is in decent form and should also be in the thick of the action.
