Without a win since his debut for Richard Hannon at Haydock (7f, good to firm) in June 2017. Handicapper has been giving him a chance for some time now and failed to beat a rival home when last seen in February. Others preferred.
Has improved since joining this yard and gained two wins on AW this winter. Has lost his form since but dangerously well handicapped as a result. Best form on turf has come on soft so any rain would help. Stable won this last year.
Won three times last year including over this C&D and now 7lb below the last of them. Bit below that level this year but wouldn't need much improvement from his last two starts and handles any ground. Possible contender.
Unraced as a juvenile and boasts a progressive profile this year. Arrives off back-to-back wins, over 1m at Newbury and 7.5f at Chester, both in decent times. His latest success suggested there should be more to come at this extra trip.
Just three wins from 35 starts but at least they all came within the last 12 months. However on a high enough mark at present and needs to leave three below par runs (including over this C&D last time) behind.
Won back-to-back races over this C&D at this time last year. Has now fallen 9lb lower but would prefer quicker ground and not anywhere near that level this time around.
Forecasts
City Wanderer (5/6), Data Protection (3/1), Rampant Lion (5/1), Duke Of North (12/1), Narjes (16/1), Albishr (33/1)
This represents a very good opportunity for CITY WANDERER to land the treble and he's very much on an upward curve with more to come at this extra trip. Data Protection has a C&D win and does look like a horse who is on the verge of running into some decent form. Rampant Lion represents last year's winning stable and any rain would help his chance.
