American Pharoah colt, dam a Breeders' Cup Juvenile sprint turf winner. Only narrowly got the better of a 25/1 shot on debut at Aqueduct and Group 3 winner at Chantilly last time out. May need more conceding weight to these rivals.
Maiden winner at Navan (runner-up won the Windsor Castle) and while he failed to fire in a Group 2 at Royal Ascot, it was a much better effort in a Listed race at Tipperary last time out. Should have more to give.
Bolted up in a Navan maiden when dropped to 5f for the first time. While this is obviously tougher, he won that race well enough to suggest he can go well again and should continue to progress.
Got the better of a well fancied debutante at Kempton first time out and lost his chance at the start at Sandown in Listed company when behind Liberty Beach. Hard to imagine him reversing that form regardless.
Still a maiden after four starts and while he was only narrowly denied in a Windsor maiden last time out, that form leaves him with a fair bit to find. Wears first-time visor and yard do well with their sprinters; not without each-way claims.
Won a soft ground French maiden and not disgraced behind Maven in a French Group 3 prior to another respectable effort in a Group 2 last time out at a big price. Each-way claims for a yard that do well with their UK raiders.
Ran with credit in two novice events prior to his Lingfield success last time out where he made all and beat a subsequent winner. Time of that race was good and not ruled out if able to build on that run.
Winner on debut and outran his odds when runner-up in the Super Sprint last time out, headed late in the day. More needed in a race of this nature but more progress possible for a yard that do well with their juveniles.
Won at Bordeaux on second start and not disgraced when 11th of 21 at Royal Ascot. Backed that up with a placed effort in Listed company and yard have enjoyed success with their UK raiders.
Won two early season races but progress has seemingly halted since and he needs to find a huge amount of improvement to mix it with these.
Showed plenty of promise on debut and didn't need to improve to land a Chester maiden, though won with plenty in hand. Needs more here but yard do well with their juveniles/sprinters and not ruled out.
Novice winner on debut at Windsor when making all in impressive fashion. Runner-up ran with credit in the Super Sprint next time out and while she needs plenty more here, it's interesting she's dropped in deep on just her second start.
Has won three of her four starts and only defeat came when a creditable fourth of 25 in the Queen Mary. Bolted up at Sandown subsequently in Listed class and that just about makes her the one to beat here.
Forecasts
Liberty Beach (11/8), Maven (9/2), Alligator Alley (8/1), Air Force Jet (9/1), Hand On My Heart (11/1), Raahy (14/1), Dr Simpson (14/1), Wheels On Fire (20/1), Show Me Show Me (25/1), Aussie Showstopper (25/1), Fan Club Rules (33/1), Cool Sphere (50/1), Zulu Zander (66/1)
There was plenty to like about the way LIBERTY BEACH built on her Royal Ascot performance when winning a Listed race last time out and she could be hard to beat for a yard who have already enjoyed a winner at this meeting this week. The Joseph O'Brien pair look interesting and Air Force Jet wasn't beaten far in Listed company last time. Maven is interesting after his Group 3 in France and Raahy could represent some each-way value after a smart effort at Lingfield last time.
- Liberty Beach
- Maven
