Won Chelmsford handicap and Catterick claimer in late-spring and has held his form in three starts since including on stable debut. Touch more needed off this current mark but place possibilities.

Improved with each run this year culminating in a C&D win on AW debut. Excuses at Ayr latest when a slow pace and lack of a clear run conspired against him. Worth giving another chance.

A better performer on the AW and had been in good form with a win and a second at Chelmsford before his latest turf effort. Course debut but every chance of being involved if taking to the surface.

Has gone close at this track previously and produced a career best when upped to 1m2.5f in a stronger race at York. Only beaten a neck and the fast time backed up the performance. Open to improvement and a leading contender.

On a sharp upward curve in rattling off a turf hat-trick since the hood was applied. Up 11lb and in grade but won with such ease last time that he could well be up to it.

Better performer on the AW and came back to form here last time. Twice a winner over a mile here, which is his optimum C&D. Has kept on as though he could stay this trip although others probably stronger stayers.

Started the season with a good third at Chester but form hasn't been to the same level since. Well beaten on previous AW start and others preferred.

Quirky customer (usually a reluctant starter) and again missed the break over further here last time. Remains 1lb higher than last win and others look more reliable.

Landed Kempton mile handicap in January for Marco Botti. Tailed off at 80/1 on last month's stable debut and hard to make a case for at present.

Remains 3lb higher than sole win this time last year, over this trip at Chelmsford. Failed to stay two miles on season reappearance and while he'll be better back in trip, this is also tougher.

Improved efforts the last twice and off the mark over this trip at Epsom on just her fifth start. That came in a fast time and likely this expensive purchase has more to come. More progress will be needed but is likely.

Forecasts

Gas Monkey (11/4), Teodora De Vega (3/1), Furzig (7/2), Autretot (5/1), True North (12/1), Global Art (14/1), Zabeel Star (18/1), Paparazzi (20/1), Dance King (25/1), Grand Inquisitor (40/1), Elenora Delight (66/1)

Verdict

Autretot can leave his last run behind back at a C&D he previously won over and holds every chance in what is an open race. Global Art is another whose last run is worth forgetting and is better back on an AW surface. Furzig and Teodora De Vega are both coming off the back of career best runs in fast times and are taken to be the main dangers. However it's hard to get away from the manner which GAS MONKEY has been putting away the opposition and is taken to continue his blistering form since the hood was applied.
  1. Gas Monkey
  2. Furzig
  3. Teodora De Vega
