Has an experience edge here having raced twice but didn't really progress in the manner one might have hoped from his debut effort at Epsom (7f) back over the same C&D latest so is best watched for now.
Invincible Spirit newcomer out of a lightly raced maiden from 7f-1m2f whose dam is related to Dubawi. Represents leading connections here so worth a look in the betting although majority from this yard better for a run.
Exceed And Excel filly backed down to 10/11F on debut over this distance at Newmarket 15 days ago but could only manage fourth. Still entered in the Lowther which is telling and could easily repay market faith this time around.
Far from disgraced on debut at Newmarket last month over 6f given she's bred to stay plenty further (8L second of eight). Sure to improve for the extra 1f here then and how close she goes will be determined by the ability of newcomers.
$500,000 yearling by Frankel, closely related to winners Pacific Heights (7f-1m) and Galileo's Song (US 1m2f) and half-sister to six winners inc Magnificent Song (US 1m1f Grade 1). Excellent pedigree for top connections so bold bid on debut likely.
Newcomer by yard's champion miler and super sire Kingman out of a dam who won in South Africa and is half-sister to South African 1m Gr 1 winner Amanee and to dam of BC Mile winner Karakontie. Represents top yard so highly respected.
€525,000 yearling daughter of Galileo is a full sister to Mary Somerville (placed 7f AW 2yo) out of a 6f-7f winner (inc at 2/Group 3). Another well bred type representing top connections who must be respected.
Filly by Dutch Art is a sister to winners Zonderland (7f-1m inc 2yo AW/Gr 3), Whitlock (1m2f) & Vasiliev (1m). May well need the run as many from this yard do but worth checking the market nevertheless.
By St Leger winner Sixties Icon out of a 2m winning dam so bred to want extreme distances and therefore recommend a watching brief here.
Forecasts
Dubai Paradise (11/4), Cloak Of Spirits (3/1), Stars In The Sky (4/1), Queen Daenerys (6/1), Game And Set (10/1), Veleta (10/1), Reehaam (12/1), Walkonby (50/1), Buy Nice Not Twice (50/1)
Although facing a whole host of newcomers from all the right stables DUBAI PARADISE is fancied to make amends for her odds-on defeat at Newmarket with it noted that none of her rivals from esteemed yards hold big race entries as she does. Of those newcomers perhaps the most appealing pedigree-wise is Queen Daenerys for the excellent Roger Varian although both Reehaam and Stars In The Sky make appeal too.
- Dubai Paradise
- Queen Daenerys
- Reehaam
