Not cheap at 435,000gns as a yearling and off the back of that, sent off favourite on debut at Newmarket. Ran very green but picked up well when asked and left impression there was plenty left in the tank. Must be on the shortlist here.

30,000gns yearling by Siyouni, and the third foal out of a middle-distance maiden from a good family. Made no mistake on debut at Haydock but hard to read how strong that form might be. Clearly useful but may need another step up here.

Mukhadram filly and a half-sister to dual winner Indian Viceroy. Had learnt plenty from promising Windsor debut when running out a ready winner at Chelmsford last time. Clearly going the right way and should improve again here.

Ready winner on heavy ground on debut at Haydock but stepped up markedly on that when second to Summer Romance in a Listed contest (on quick ground) at Newmarket latest. Will be well suited by another furlong and looks a major player.

Improving filly, winner of last two and scored easily at Ayr on latest start, making all to win by 5l. Steps up in grade here but track should suit, ground probably no issue and yard have won this in recent years. Another with chances.
Stablemate of Walk In Marrakesh, cost 95,000gns as a yearling and there are good winners in the family. Impressive on debut at Haydock, knew her job and knuckled down well to score in the latter stages. Track will suit and has to be taken seriously.

Forecasts

Light Blush (15/8), Walk In Marrakesh (2/1), Romsey (7/1), Ursulina (7/1), Rhea (9/1), West End Girl (9/1)

Verdict

It goes without saying all six have their best days in front of them, and all six have already shown plenty of ability. Choosing between them at this stage is not easy, but URSULINA should benefit greatly from a seventh furlong and she may well have bumped into a top-class one in the shape of Summer Romance at Newmarket. Walk In Marrakesh looks the most likely to make the pace and it would be foolish of the others not to keep close tabs on her. She has already shown what she can do when allowed to dictate, and rates the danger. Light Blush and Rhea were both impressive on their debuts and just add more spice to a very competitive contest.
  1. Ursulina
  2. Walk In Marrakesh
  3. Light Blush
