Has failed to hit the target in 15 starts in his career and been in poor form of late compared to earlier this season and pick of last. Drops to minimum trip for the first time ever here.
In good form this season and followed up her 6f Sligo win with a narrow second here latest over the same trip. Upped 5lb today but 5f may see her in an even better light so has to be respected.
Down the field after a break at Fairyhouse latest and her turf form overall (1-18) is far from compelling so probably best watched until returning to Dundalk.
Four-time winner for Kevin Ryan last seen finishing seventh behind Ken's Sam's at Dundalk back in January. First start on turf for this yard and the market may guide as to readiness after the break.
16-race maiden without success in seven starts on turf though the Pastoral Pursuits gelding has hit the frame on three occasions. Last of nine at Bellewstown latest an effort best forgotten.
Now 30lb lower than his career high winning mark from 2016 but rarely threatened to take advantage of late. That said his latest effort at Navan was a step in the right direction and at such a poor level he could now make the frame.
Minor promise displayed in her four two-year-old starts but checked as if something amiss in lone start this season when a tailed off last back in May. Could yet have here best days ahead and is interesting here.
Back to his last winning mark from 10 months ago now having only raced twice in 2019 and there was real promise about his Navan sixth of 15 latest. Can step forward again now and make a bold bid.
Yet to win a race but is still one of the least exposed in this running well in a Bath handicap to a subsequent winner before performing well last time out over 7f. Better than her final placing over 7f here last time; interesting back at 6f.
Slipping down the weights with each run but not really producing the sort of performance that she needs to capitalise on the reduced mark. Fared a little better of late without even seriously threatening.
Took quite a step forward latest when second of 14 over this trip at Bellewstown. 2lb raise by the handicapper not enough to temper enthusiasm for her now very real chance of getting off the mark.
Still yet to make the frame in his seven starts and after a promising fourth at Tipperary he was somewhat disappointing latest at Limerick. Very weak contest this mind so he can't be ruled out.
Forecasts
Powersville (7/2), Associate Rock (5/1), Ken's Sam's (13/2), Fridtjof Nansen (13/2), Ten Joys (13/2), Pillar (10/1), Captain Power (12/1), Coffeemeanscoffee (14/1), Al Batal (20/1), Laughton (25/1), Sestriere (33/1), Frow (33/1)
With doubts aplenty for her rivals in-form POWERSVILLE is fancied to go one better than her excellent second of 22 here over 6f last time. A big danger now is three-year-old Associate Rock after she ran so well last time out at Bellewstown. Back on a winning mark and in his third start of the season Pillar is expected to now go close too.
- Powersville
- Associate Rock
- Pillar
