Didn't shine at Epsom last time, but gets first-time blinkers on now and previous record around is a positive so chances of better effort look decent.
Returned from an 11-month absence when winning by 1¼L on his first attempt over 1m4f at Wolverhampton a week ago. Carries a penalty but still looks destined for big role in this follow-up attempt.
Last month's Nottingham turf win came amidst a poor run of form but does boast nine career wins on the AW circuit and, while not as good since at Newmarket, he remains on an appealing mark now.
Won a 1m4f Leicester seller on turf in May but fair to say he hasn't looked like making an impact in three AW starts since joining this trainer since.
Eight-race maiden on the Flat, though not without promise including close second over 1m2f here in January. Poor hurdles debut in April, has undergone wind surgery and entitled to a chance if putting best foot forward now.
Filly remains lightly-raced and could be capable of improved form now diverting attention to AW. Worth monitoring in betting.
Gelding by Kitten's Joy, nothing overly promising in bumpers/qualifying runs and returns from five-month layoff for handicap bow with plenty of improvement needed.
Dubawi colt, picked up a maiden over 1m2f on Chelmsford's AW in October and Sandown reappearance in April had plenty of merit about it (third). Subsequent soft-ground run at Newbury best forgotten. More to come.
Good winner of 1m Salisbury novice on sole juvenile start but hasn't happened in three turf runs this year so far. Makes AW bow having been gelded since his last start and perhaps that will sharpen his focus.
Winner of a Leicester maiden over 7f back in 2017 but has been round the houses since and form in two AW starts for this yard leaves plenty to be desired.
Well beaten in two starts for new stable, including on most recent start when 11th of 12 at Epsom (1m, good) in April. Sports first-time cheekpieces here and has plenty of improvement to find.
Juvenile form over 7f/1m in novice company not very strong, back for seasonal debut and first try in a handicap and up significantly in trip. Worth betting check.
Hasn't managed to justify favouritism in pair of handicaps here (turf/AW) but certainly shaped as if there will be races to be won and takes his place on the shortlist again.
Forecasts
Distant Chimes (1/1), Sawasdee (4/1), Zuba (5/1), Ambling (8/1), Stormwave (12/1), Tangramm (16/1), Wojood (16/1), Hackbridge (33/1), Stormy Blues (33/1), Eye of The Storm (40/1), Island Jungle (66/1), Accessor (100/1), Ace Cheetah (100/1)
The money was down for DISTANT CHIMES on his return to action at Wolverhampton a week ago and there should be more to come from Sir Mark Prescott's charge, ensuring he gets the nod to defy his penalty now. Tangramm appeals as one to do better back on the AW while Hackbridge goes well here and Stormy Blues could be in the firing line if a wind operation has a positive effect. Zuba is forgiven a poor run on soft ground last time and rates as one with plenty upside still to come.
