A C&D winner who scored twice at the back end of last year. Has struggled in 2019 though as he has been a long way down the field in his three handicap attempts. First run for new yard. Could be off a workable mark now.

Bounced back to form last time at Haydock when scoring over 1m after outbattling one of her rivals in the closing stages to score by a head. Has gone up 4lb now but she has won off this mark before. Has to be considered.

Was successful over this C&D last year in what was her last victory. She has come close on a couple of occasions this season but could only finish seventh of 12 last time at Doncaster (1m2f) when the 3/1 favourite. Others preferred.

Has been in great form recently with two wins from his last three starts, including over this C&D last month. Needs a career best to win off this latest mark, however, he has to be respected on the drop down to this trip.

Lightly-raced gelding who seemed to take a big step backwards last time at Chelmsford (1m) on the AW where he had just one horse behind him in a 12 runner field. That was his handicap debut on first run for new yard. Hard to make a case for.

Broke his maiden last time at Nottingham over this distance when getting up by a neck in a close finish. Has gone up 3lb for that success so may need to find more to follow it up. One for the shortlist.

Remains a maiden after six races. Struggled on his handicap debut at this track over the extended 1m trip when 10th of 11. Then finished fourth of eight at Nottingham (1m2f). Needs to improve on what he has shown so far.

Was successful by 6L last time at Wolverhampton (1m½f) on the AW to make up for a close second over the same C&D on his start before. Has to carry a penalty here but he has a great chance to follow it up over this longer trip. Leading player.

Was denied by just a head over this C&D six days ago when going off as the 7/2 joint-favourite in what was his best run of the season so far. Remains off the same mark which is 3lb lower than his last success. Obvious chances.

Forecasts

Bollin Ted (7/2), Maqaadeer (4/1), Detachment (9/2), Allux Boy (9/2), Ideal Candy (5/1), Billy Roberts (13/2), Zihaam (10/1), Kingson (12/1), Miss Sheridan (25/1), Dyagilev (50/1)

Verdict

ALLUX BOY was too hot for his rivals last time at Wolverhampton where he went clear of the field in the closing to stages to score by 6L. He has to carry a penalty here on his return to turf but it shouldn't be enough to prevent him from following up with another success. Bollin Ted can go close again on the back of his second place over this C&D last time off this same mark, while Maqaadeer is open to improvement and will be in the mix as he bids to follow up his maiden success at Nottingham recently.
