Useful Flat performer, made winning hurdles debut for Team Skelton last month at Aintree (2m½f, good to soft; 4-9f), seemingly with plenty in hand. Rates a likely contender for follow-up under penalty.

Showed glimpses of ability last year in four Flat runs for Jim Bolger in Ireland and pedigree suggests he might well have a future over timber. Market check on first start for new connections.

Makes appeal on best of Flat form. Hood goes on for this hurdling introduction and one to take note of should the market be favourable.
Has plenty to find with Must See The Doc on last month's Aintree run and, all things being equal, unlikely to bridge that gap here.

Fair maiden on the Flat with stamina in pedigree. Rare jumper for this trainer, 0-8 previously with hurdlers, and likely facing stiff enough task here.
Has settled for second spot in two recent hurdles starts, behind Must See The Doc at Aintree and once more at Stratford. Could well be booked for same role again.

Forecasts

Must See The Doc (1/2), Maria Magdalena (4/1), The Pink'n (9/2), Canford Dancer (20/1), Inceyquincyspider (33/1), Warrior Display (40/1), Repetitio (66/1)

Verdict

MUST SEE THE DOC created a favourable impression at Aintree on first start over timber, winning with plenty in hand, and the chances are that Dan Skelton's charge can overcome his penalty to double up. Maria Magdalena was second on that occasion and has filled the same role again at Stratford since, she may well complete her own 'hat-trick'. The Pink'n has some scope on paper for this task.
  1. Must See The Doc
  2. Maria Magdalena
  3. The Pink'n
