2017 Cambridgeshire winner also won at Listed level last autumn which seems his time of year. Not fired at all in two 2019 starts and last of sixteen at this level latest at Royal Ascot so is risky at present.

Three-time winner was third in a Sandown Listed race to the useful Elarqam latest. May be up against it here giving weight to the three-year-olds but likely to again make the frame.

Winner of this race in 2017 but winless in 13 starts since and overall his form this season is short of the required.

1m course winner on debut was third to a subsequent Group One winner next and second to the potentially smart Sangarius latest at Royal Ascot at Group Three level. Best form on offer and open to more improvement.

Impressive 1m2f wins at Nottingham and Sandown prompted a crack at the Group Two King Edward at Royal Ascot; a race for which he wasn't unfancied. Beaten a long way there having been too keen but far from discounted here.

Forecasts

Fox Chairman (8/13), Pondus (7/2), First Nation (6/1), Set Piece (10/1), Dolphin Vista (14/1), What About Carlo (25/1)

Verdict

The three three-year-olds make the most appeal in this race with Hampton Court second FOX CHAIRMAN the one to beat at a notch lower on the class scale. Pondus failed to show his true worth at Royal Ascot behind subsequent Group One winner Japan but will be more at home at this level and trip so could very easily bounce back. Set Piece has smart form too and isn't ruled out after a break.
