Another quiet effort when fifth at Beverley (5f; good to firm) last time. Now 1lb below last winning mark, but needs to do much, much more if he is to feature and recent efforts do not suggest that is forthcoming.
Chance if able to build on promising third when headgear was applied over C&D last time. That was a step up by some way on what he had shown in previous starts.
Been in dreadful form lately and failed to beat a single rival at Leicester (7f; good to firm) last time. Drops back to 5f now, but cannot be fancied. Best watched.
Still unexposed after just the four starts, but hasn't progressed from promising debut victory. Showed no evident improvement for the switch to handicap company on seasonal return, and drop to 5f has got to work the trick.
Application of headgear worked the oracle when he was successful for the first time in quite a while when winning at Nottingham (5f; good to soft). Up 5lb but should remain competitive.
Largely in good form of late and won at Chepstow (6f; good) last time out. However, he hasn't raced over this trip for a couple of years so the drop back to 5f does pose somewhat of a question mark.
Very hard to recommend when he has been in such poor form this year. Posted a weak effort over C&D last time out, and not likely to surge back to form off 2lb lower in what is a competitive affair.
Could only manage ninth in a seller at Thirsk (6f; good to firm) last time. Drops in trip but was out of form the time before that, and is 0-8 on turf.
0-30 on turf. Did go well when third over C&D at the start of the month but is out of the handicap, and others look a bit more compelling at this level.

Somewhere Secret (3/1), Louis Treize (7/2), Show Palace (4/1), Quench Dolly (9/2), Excessable (6/1), Arcavallo (8/1), Red Stripes (12/1), Spirit Power (14/1), Cox Bazar (16/1), Brandy Station (25/1)
This is a very tricky puzzle to solve.Show Palace improved for the application of cheekpieces when scoring at Nottingham last month and should remain competitive, as he has only been raised 5lb for a comfortable success and is likely to encounter similar conditions. If stepping forward from what was a highly promising run over C&D, Quench Dolly would be entitled to go close with the blinkers kept on. We'll take a chance on the unexposed LOUIS TREIZE though, who hasn't yet gone on from his promising maiden win at Newcastle but is returned to calmer waters after being set a stiff task on handicap debut recently.
- Louis Treize
- Quench Dolly
- Show Palace
