Pair of AW wins over 1m2f/1m3f earlier this term, shaped well enough in two turf starts since, latest over 1m2f (good to firm) and takes a class-drop now. Should be in the firing line.

Off the mark at first attempt at Chelmsford in 1m2f AW novice in May, has run well in both outings since at Carlisle and Nottingham. Should be in finish on handicap debut now, having seemingly found trip sharp latest (1m½f).

C&D winner in April last year before missing 377 days, twice supported in betting in three runs yet ran best race (second) at Hamilton (1m1f, soft; 12-1) either side of two poor runs. Not counted out back here, especially if it softens.

Sixties Icon filly, twice won last year over 1m2f/1m4f on ground rated soft/firm. Returns from a nine-month layoff here and market should prove useful guide as to what is anticipated.

One placed effort from five this term, with some lacklustre efforts thrown in. Hard to put a ton of faith in right now, ensuring others are preferred.

Forecasts

Freerolling (2/1), Autumn War (5/2), Sputnik Planum (6/1), Benadalid (13/2), Harbour Breeze (13/2), Fannie By Gaslight (7/1), Mainsail Atlantic (7/1), Scottish Summit (10/1), Jamih (33/1)

Verdict

Former C&D winner Sputnik Planum could go well back here, especially should any rain fall before racing. However, FREEFALLING is preferred on handicap bow from a workable mark of 85. Charlie Fellowes' runners appeared to find the trip sharp last time but was rallying late on and ought to go well back over the trip at which he made a winning debut in May. Autumn War is another worth considering while the market should shine a light on the returning Fannie By Gaslight.
