Found one too good on debut at Hamilton over 6f, made no mistake back there next time, quickening clear nicely. Likely has a big say here, despite the penalty.

Muhaarar half-brother to useful 1m1½f-1m4½f winner Bartholomeu Dias out of a half-sister to 7f/1m Group 3 winner Purr Along. Not given a hard time on debut at Newmarket (6f, good to soft; 16-1) and should improve for that.

140,000 gns foal, Kodiac colt, half-brother to several winners, including useful winner up to 6f Ben Hall and 1m1f/1m2f winner Freeman. Market useful.

80,000 gns yearling, Gutaifan colt. Half-brother to winner up to 7f Myboyhenry. Could be a decent newcomer and needs close look in betting.

90,000 gns yearling, Kyllachy colt, bred for plenty speed. Fair introduction last month at Ayr over this trip, must improve on that form.
Kodiac colt. Dam, lightly-raced half-sister to useful winner up to 1¼m Zest, with plenty appeal on pedigree. Could be useful.

36,000 gns yearling, Free Eagle colt. Half-brother to multiple winners, including very smart 7f-1m½f winner Penitent and useful juvenile 5f-6f winner Supplicant. Second runner for trainer, market should split them.

Son of Hot Streak bought for 200,000 gns last autumn. Fourth of 10 in minor event at Kempton (6f, AW) on debut recently, capable of better again.

No Nay Never colt, finished fourth in both starts so far, including at Chepstow 18 days ago (6f, good; 5-2f) when well backed. Needs to build on that effort but clearly well thought of.

Forecasts

One Hart (7/4), Qaaddim (5/2), Stone Circle (11/2), Atheeb (6/1), Embolden (14/1), Proclaimer (14/1), Glorious Rio (16/1), Kuwait Shield (20/1), Maurice Dancer (25/1)

Verdict

One Hart is much-respected after a win at Hamilton last time and has his chance again but it may not be easy conceding a penalty here and so preference is for QAADDIM, who cost connections 200,000 gns and should be wiser/sharper for his debut at Kempton recently. Stone Circle and Atheeb are potential improvers while Embolden is a newcomer that makes appeal.
