Prolific on AW, most notably winning the valuable conditions race on Champions' Day last year. Very inconsistent on turf though and failed to beat a rival home in the Wokingham last time out. Seemingly better at 6f and others preferred.
Made easy work of a Chelmsford handicap last time out (5L winner) and arrives here bidding for a five-timer. Started his winning streak over C&D and while now 17lb higher, he's ideally drawn to execute his front-running tactics again.
Beaten in his hat-trick bid at Chester last time but wide draw a fair excuse for that run. Has a smart turn of foot and this stiffer track should hold no fears given that he's placed at 6f; less exposed than several and could have more to come.
A shade unlucky not to have won more races in his time and ran with credit last time at York when fifth of 19. Several of his best runs have come when held up and those tactics probably not ideal in this contest but hard to put a line through.
Largely running well in defeat so far this campaign, particularly when runner-up at York two starts back (Fendale fifth). Still above last winning handicap mark though and disappointed last time out; others make more appeal.

Angel Alexander (7/4), Dapper Man (2/1), Corinthia Knight (9/2), War Whisper (11/2), Fendale (7/1), Excessable (8/1)
DAPPER MAN may have a rise in the weights to deal with but he's clearly in the form of his life at present and he seemed to win with a bit in hand at Chelmsford last time out. Angel Alexander is the main danger with a less exposed profile than these rivals. War Whisper has been running well in defeat in recent starts and can go well again.
