Winner over a mile at Sandown last September, but efforts over this trip have been less convincing, despite the fact his pedigree says he should be better for it. Reasonable effort at Beverley latest and worth another try at this trip.
Yet to win in 10 starts but seemed to relish the step up to 10f at Windsor latest, beaten just a neck. Goes back up 5lb for that, which isn't ideal, but might be able to build on that and if so, should take a hand in the finish.
Tried to steal it from the front at Goodwood two starts ago (10f) and almost managed it, caught late on and faded to fourth. Not so good under hold-up tactics (8f) at Newbury latest but could bounce back here.
Handicap debut here, well beaten in three starts so far but it was better at Salisbury last time and this big step up in trip may well suit on his pedigree. Yard can ready them first time for handicaps too, and he could easily take a hand here.
Regressing quickly already and although third at Brighton latest, was well held. Far more exposed than a few of these and would be a bit of a surprise if he was good enough.
Has shown only a modicum of form in six starts, but unless the cheekpieces tried today have a big effect on her, then hard to see her getting anywhere near the main players today.
Forecasts
Trelinney (7/4), Flying Dragon (2/1), Bug Boy (7/2), Garrison Law (10/1), Four Mile Bridge (12/1), Powerage (33/1)
A race to treat with plenty of caution as none of the six look like they will make the pace, and this could turn into a messy affair. With that, if TRELINNEY is returned to front-running tactics, as she was when running well at Goodwood two starts ago, she could take some pegging back. The track ought not be an issue for her and she's taken to make all. Garrison Law will be a danger if staying this trip and Bug Boy might be good enough for minor honours.
- Trelinney
- Garrison Law
- Bug Boy
