Multiple Point-To-Point winner down the years. Couldn't employ usual front running tactics when disappointing at Cartmel last time but has joined very shrewd yard for handicap debut and cheek pieces now tried. Market check strongly advised.
Hurdles win at Wincanton a year ago but has yet to show much in two runs over fences. Tongue tie and cheek pieces now go on and upped in trip though bit to prove at present.
Similar profile to Teeton Power as a multiple winning Point-to Point winner and comes from the same Cartmel race when the soft ground proved his undoing. Better than showed there and this ground more suitable
Much better at Limerick last weekend when he may well have won with a more fluent jump at the last. Did pull 20L clear of the third so clearly comes here in form though this a quick reappearance.
Not easy to predict and followed second place at Fontwell with a poor run at Cartmel. Similarly mixed form on his two attempts over fences and others preferred.
Irish raider who ran better when fourth behind a subsequent winner last time. Relatively lightly raced so should have a bit more to come at this trip.
Long standing maiden who was beaten miles in both chasing runs this summer and hard to make a positive case for on that evidence.
Best form over hurdles was at this sort of distance and showed something to work with on recent chasing debut over inadequate trip last month. More needed but open to some improvement.
Sole career win was at Perth over hurdles a year ago. Brought down at the first on recent visit there but chase form overall gives him a bit to find with the best of these.
Switch to this stable and front running tactics have turned him around and now seeking a hat-trick under rules having made all at Hexham and Cartmel. This is tougher but respected in current form.
Point-to-point winner in 2015. Off the track two years and debuting for this yard, was backed as though defeat was out of the question but ran out of it in closing stages at Southwell. Now switches to fences off same mark and has to be of interest.
Poor form over hurdles and needs to be transformed by the switch to larger obstacles to play a part here.
Placed a couple of times over hurdles but chase form not as good so far and although may have more to come, others easier to make a case for.
Forecasts
Home Place (7/2), Next Lot (7/2), Dutch Canyon (9/2), Unchago (7/1), Schnabel (12/1), Court Baloo (12/1), Teeton Power (14/1), Stage One (14/1), Aquarian (20/1), Marvellous Monty (25/1), Maureen's Star (25/1), Downloadtheapp (33/1), Ska Ridge (50/1)
An interesting race for the grade and one which should be run at a decent pace. TEETON POWER is one of those likely to see to that and with this sound surface in his favour and switched to a shrewd stable, he makes some appeal. Stage One has a similar profile to the selection and along with Next Lot may be the main dangers in a race which should prove worth following in the coming months.
- Teeton Power
- Stage One
- Next Lot
