Dual Polytrack bumper winner but has failed to impress in a couple of Class 3 novice events on the same surface starting out her Flat career. Fit from hurdles when switched to the Flat but still has ground to make up in an event like this.
Has always looked one for the longer term and these early outings are all about gaining experience. Dropped away quickly over this trip at Chelmsford last time so hard to be confident over this longer trip.
Nicely bred sort with plenty of winning relations but does look as though she will need more time to learn her craft. Still looked very inexperienced at Bath last time (beaten 19L); one to be watching rather than backing for now.
Given a very considerate introduction over 1m at Newbury on her debut last year (not knocked around, never nearer) finishing fifth. Didn't make a huge step forward on her reappearance this year but shaped well enough to think there is more to come.
Both her novice stakes outings against her own sex have yet to see her get out of the rear division, beat just two rivals last time. Neither run if repeated would put her anywhere near the principals here; one for the future and low-grade handicaps.
Sets the standard having finished runner-up on both her starts so far confirming her debut form at Salisbury last time but bumping into an impressive newcomer. Looks capable of winning an ordinary event like this with her stamina coming into play.

Forecasts
The Very Moon (1/4), Maktabba (11/4), Shining Sea (8/1), Giving Back (20/1), Constraint (40/1), Astral Girl (66/1), Sharqi (100/1)
Sir Michael Stoute looks to have found an excellent opportunity for THE VERY MOON to get off the mark at the third attempt her two outings so far recording performance figures far in advance of the modest opposition. William Haggas took this last year with a newcomer but he runs the more experienced Maktabba this year who will pick up an event like this in time but is likely to play second fiddle here. Most of the others will be seen to better effect in the future and in handicaps with Constraint given a token mention for the minor placing.
- The Very Moon
