Winner of this race in 2017 and remained in good order on the Flat last winter. Recent hurdles pipe-opener should help so could be capable of a bold bid now.
Kilbeggan maiden winner was tailed off latest in handicap bow. No way that was his true level so expecting better here for all such an effort does temper enthusiasm.
Only beaten ¾L at Clonmel last time over hurdles and has since run well on the level at Sligo. 3lb higher than aforementioned third but looks sure to make her presence felt.
Won twice over hurdles last winter but didn't really achieve that much. Poor form in a couple of starts over the larger obstacles does not fill one with confidence on return to timber.
Four-time Flat scorer makes handicap hurdle debut here having made little impression in novice events last season. Recent Flat form doesn't suggest him to be in good form.
Achieved very little on either the Flat or over hurdles since winning at Limerick last July and overall looks one best avoided at present.
16-race maiden has been mostly quite consistent of late and for all he remains 3lb higher than an excellent third three starts back he has sound claims from an each-way point of view.
2017 Listowel bumper winner but shown absolutely nothing at this point over hurdles. Low grade handicap such as this surely not impossible but hard to fancy now.
Raised 8lb for his 5L Wexford win in April. Recent soft ground Flat effort moderate but much more appealing here and one of very few you could consider progressive so has to be considered.
Off the mark over hurdles at the eighth time of asking latest when scoring at 20/1 at Tramore. Upped 6lb for that but with that form behind him now he has to be considered again.
Shown little in points or three under Rules and is very hard to make a case for.
Unplaced in five starts and looks a likely outsider based on moderate efforts to date.
Forecasts
Lucky Phil (7/2), Grey Atlantic Way (4/1), Doyen Bay (6/1), All The Angels (8/1), Trenchtown Rock (9/1), Fintown Boy (10/1), Touch Of Gold (12/1), Serefeli (12/1), Sand Fly (14/1), Muyam Spirit (20/1), Alfred Wegener (20/1), Molly Barrys Cross (25/1)
Recent hurdles scorers DOYEN BAY and Trenchtown Rock look the most likely pair with slight preference for the former who really turned over a new leaf at Tramore. Also worth considering is recent Flat and hurdles third Lucky Phil who looks sure to be involved.
- Doyen Bay
- Trenchtown Rock
- Lucky Phil
