Has yet to get off the mark in 17 attempts so far. Was second of seven at Thirsk (1m4f) in August 2017. This is his first run on the Flat since October 2017. Is respected off this latest mark but long absence is a big concern.

Remains a maiden after eight races. Was not too far away on opening run of season at Nottingham (1m2f) when a close fifth of 15. Did not build upon that at Yarmouth (1m2f) on his latest start. Up in trip today. One to watch.

A C&D winner here last August but has been unable to follow that up since then and as a result has been slowly on the decline in the weights. His two runs this season have been particularly poor. Needs to bounce back. Others preferred.

Has hit the frame twice off this mark in her last two starts. Was second of eight last time at Chepstow over this distance where she was only beaten by ½l. Quick return but strong effort can be expected again.

Lightly-raced gelding who is still a maiden after six starts. Has been much better on his last two starts, with his latest run coming at Carlisle (1m1f) where he was sixth of 15. Down 2lb and visor on for first time. One for shortlist.

Won over this distance at Brighton in May 2018. Was unable to follow it up in her next two starts where she was a long way down the field. Making her first appearance for a almost a year. Very capable off this mark.

His last success came at this track over the extended 2m trip last December. Has been well held on his last two starts on turf, including latest at Nottingham (1m6f) when seventh of 12. Down in class and trip. Others make more of an appeal.

Still looking for his first success after 13 runs. Was sixth of 12 on his return to action over this C&D last time where he was 12½l behind Fern Owl. Should come on for that appearance but much more is needed to pick up maiden win.

Has won over this C&D but his form lately has been well below his best. Could only finish seventh of 12 over this C&D last time. Has gone down 2lb for that outing. Now 9lb below last winning mark but has to bounce back. One to watch.

Lighty-raced filly who remains unexposed. She was seventh of nine on her handicap debut on her latest appearance at Windsor (1m3½f). Drops down in class with this 2lb lower mark. Should not be ignored.

Went off as the 6/1 joint-favourite last time at Thirsk (1m) where he could only come home sixth of 16. Down 3lb as he looks for his first win. Keep an eye for market support behind him once again as he goes up in trip.

Lafilia (3/1), Captain Scott (4/1), Fern Owl (6/1), Doctor Wonderful (8/1), Raashdy (10/1), Betancourt (12/1), Maiden Navigator (16/1), Carraigin Aonair (25/1), Spiritual Boy (25/1), Steccando (25/1), Genuine Approval (40/1), Splash Around (40/1)

Verdict

LAFILIA has done very little wrong on her last starts where she has gone close on both occasions. She is making a quick return here which suggests connections feel as though she has a win in her at the moment. She remains off the same mark as her close second at Chepstow over this distance two starts ago. Captain Scott is improving with each run and off his latest mark, he is likely to be in with a chance, while Carraigin Aonair is off a mark which is well within her capability if she is not too rusty on her return.
