Decent ex-French sprinter who took time to settle in to new surroundings but hit the target when scoring over 5f at Ayr last week. Carries 5lb penalty and stays 6f so has to be considered now back in form.
Won the listed Two Year Old Trophy at Redcar last autumn. Yet to conclusively prove she's trained on and has been well beaten in both start so far this campaign, at 7f and mile. Drop back to sprinting could help but needs to stage a revival.
Much loved eight-time course winner who landed this race 12 months ago off 3lb higher. Had been struggling until posting a better effort last time at Thirsk but still eased 2lb. Into veteran stage but return to form not out of the question.
Won twice over 5f here last season and running back into form of late with good third at Doncaster penultimate start followed by head second at Haydock last time. Yard going great guns so looks a serious contender.
Won over C&D in April last year off 3lb higher mark and has been a bit in and out so far this season. Probably found 5f last time sharp enough so this trip looks more his bag, but may find one or two too good.
Won juvenile novice event over C&D last season before landing very valuable Sales race at HQ. Second in two of her four starts so far this time around and first-time cheekpieces now applied. Sure to be thereabouts once again.
Twice a C&D winner including on first start this season off 1lb higher mark. Stayed on well at Chester last time and every chance he'll be in the thick of the action here off bottom weight.
Forecasts
Roundhay Park (2/1), Arecibo (3/1), Lorton (9/2), Bossipop (15/2), Pipers Note (8/1), Gin In The Inn (11/1), Summer Daydream (16/1)
It's hard to rule out any of the seven runners in a good renewal of this sprint handicap, but ROUNDHAY PARK comes here on the back of two solid efforts and his yard is in cracking form at present, so he gets the nod. Bossipop should push the selection from the foot of the wieghts, while at the other end of the scale the ex-French Arecibo has now found his feet and won well last time. He rates a serious threat. The three-year-olds Summer Daydream and Lorton are inetresting taking on seasoned handicappers, while course specialist Pipers Note hinted he might be on the way back last time, but he needs to raise his game.
- Roundhay Park
- Arecibo
- Bossipop
