Started the season with two modest handicap appearances, including at Doncaster (1m4f) where he was only beaten 2½l in fifth place in a 12 runner field. Ground was too soft at Sandown last time. Solid claims with faster conditions.
Was beaten a long way on his opening two starts of his career but then improved last time to come home fourth of 10 at Windsor (1m). Up in trip today and on handicap debut. Keep an eye out for any support in the market.
Was disappointing on his handicap debut at Hamilton (1m1f) back in May where he was 10th of 12. Has been eased 3lb, while stable are now in really good form. Much more can be expected. One to consider.
Has not finished ahead of too many horses in his three starts so far. His last run came at Newmarket (6f) where he was 24th of 28 when going off at 100/1. Handicap debut today but much more needed.
Ran well at Nottingham two starts back to finish third of 12 where he was only beaten by 1½l. Did not follow that up at Windsor (1m3½f) though as he could only come home 10th of 15. Needs to bounce back but is capable.
Still looking for her first success after seven races. She was seventh of 13 last time at Yarmouth over 7f. Has been eased 2lb since then. Needs to improve to record her first success. Others preferred.
Still a maiden after six races but produced her best effort yet last time at Brighton (1m) when second of 10. Has been eased 2lb which will only help his chances here. Leading contender.
Showed some promise early in his career but his form this season has been poor. Was ninth of 12 last time at this course over 1m4f. Down in trip today and continues to fall down the weights. Others look more appealing.
Has been well beaten on all six of his starts so far. Appeared on the AW last time at Lingfield (1m) where he only had one horse behind him in a 12 runner field in what was his first run for his new yard. Difficult to make a case for here.
Finished second on two occasions last season over the shorter trips of 6f and 7f. Struggled last time over 1m3½f though when 12th of 14 at Windsor after going off at 66/1. Hard to fancy.
Has had eight attempts so far to get off the mark. Was a little better on his previous appearance when fifth of 15 at Windsor (1m3½f). Down 3lb but much more is needed to be competitive.
Forecasts
Hydroplane (11/4), My Lady Claire (7/2), Craneur (4/1), Heatherdown (7/1), Parisean Artiste (9/1), Molotov (10/1), Purbeck Hills (14/1), Moon Artist (20/1), Estrela Star (25/1), Dandy Belle (33/1), Ocean Rouge (40/1)
MY LADY CLAIRE can improve from her second place finish at Brighton last time and she has been given even more help by the handicapper with a 2lb lower mark. This looks a great opportunity for her to break her maiden. Craneur is far better than his appearance at Sandown last time where he hated the soft ground. He will be much better today in these conditions, while there is sure to be a lot more to come from Hydroplane on his second run in handicap company as his stable are flying at the moment.
- My Lady Claire
- Craneur
- Hydroplane
