Dual-purpose gelding who is looking for his win since May 2017 when he was successful at Chepstow (1m4f). His last appearance came at Les Landes in a 2m2f handicap hurdle where he was sixth of seven. Visor on for first time. Others preferred.

Experienced gelding who recorded his first turf win since July 2017 last time at Lingfield (1m5f) where he made all. The distance should not be a problem for him but he has yet to win at this trip. Worth considering.

Was a C&D winner here last time out when scoring by 1¾l. Has been in excellent form over the last couple of months. Has gone up 4lb for latest win but he enjoys it at this track so still a leading player.

Has won both of his two starts since being gelding, with his latest success coming on his debut on turf where he won at Hamilton (1m5f). Up 5lb for his recent victory but looks opening to improvement. One to beat.

Forecasts

Mondain (4/5), Master Grey (7/4), Berrahri (7/1), Moayadd (20/1)

Verdict

MONDAIN is unbeaten in two starts since being gelded and he looks very much on turf on his first start on the surface when winning at Hamilton last time out. The three-year-old is the youngest horse in the race and the one which is open to much more improvement than his rivals. Master Grey is a horse who is having the best form of his career and should never be discounted at this course, despite his 4lb rise in the weights, while Berrahri is likely to set the pace and could take some passing.
