Only one success to his name so far; his latest outing may have shown that a recovery is on the way dead-heating for third with the unlucky in-running Triple Distilled. First effort of note this year, off the same mark here; well drawn.
C&D winner last year in a novice stakes (better drawn then) he shaped well on his seasonal comeback and hasn't really had the run of things in a race since. Appeared unsuited by the drop to 5f here last time, mark slipping but poorly drawn.
Consistent form this year with a Beverley win over 5f in May being bettered by a Hamilton win last time out in first-time cheekpieces. Looks to still have some progress in him; mark unchanged for last win, will enjoy the sound surface.
Yet to win a handicap; came close when second last time at Windsor over 6f going down by a head to a strong favourite who won a shade cosily. No disgrace in that effort although he's rather harshly raised 4lb, well beaten off mid-70's marks before.
Made his handicap debut over 5f last time beating just one home in a race at Doncaster where he appeared to do too much too soon. Return to 6f may help (won his maiden over this trip); not written off having shown some decent non-handicap form.
6f AW handicap winner back in April (good ride from the front); placed on two of his three turf starts since enjoying the return to better underfoot conditions last time. Nicely drawn to attack from stall 1 having shown he can cope with this mark.
Has one standout effort to her name this year when runner-up at Chepstow with the rest of her starts looking rather poor in comparison. Particularly meagre returns last two starts; can be slow away, that won't help here from a wide draw.
Maiden winner in France on soft ground but has not found the switch to handicaps for tow GB trainers an easy one. Mark continues to tumble but showing little sign of taking advantage on recent evidence.
Hard to muster much enthusiasm for the chance of this long-standing maiden (0-19) who has to compete from 14lb out of the handicap. Recent events have shown her to be of little account in her three starts for this yard.

If Triple Distilled appears again unpenalised for his 7f win at York in an apprentice race late yesterday afternoon he may have enough in hand to overcome an awkward draw such was the style of his win especially in what looks a weak heat. Working on the basis that connections may choose to avoid a quick return SPIRIT OF MAY is the suggestion with the advantage of stall 1 and plenty of early pace he could be hard to peg back. Based on his form with Triple Distilled Tin Hat has to enter the argument although he had much the better of the run of the race at Newmarket last time. Friendly Advice and Abate are two others likely to be involved in the shake-up.
