Sole win came in Thirsk maiden last season but hasn't won since. Well held in two starts this year, including when third in 5f Beverley conditions race. This represents another step up and doesn't appear to be the owner's first choice.

Dual fillies' handicap winner last season but below par in two runs since. Only beat one home in 6f Newbury handicap and was well beaten when last tried in a Group 3. Others make more appeal.

Made up into good handicapper last season and wasn't disgraced in listed company at Windsor two starts ago before 6l 16th in Wokingham handicap at Royal Ascot. Respected but needs to find a shade more improvement.

Winless in five starts this season but has held her own in Listed/Group 3 company so far. Creditable third behind Invincible Army in 6f Newcastle Group 3 and has the scope to land some black type. Needs to prove she acts at same level on turf.

Well held in five starts last term and unable to replicate her best form on the AW on last two starts, most recently when seventh in 7f Kempton handicap. Plenty to find on ratings.

Multiple winner in the past but has found this company tough so far. Flattered when fourth at Haydock on penultimate start but below par when 14th at Ayr (5f, good) on latest start. Unlikely to trouble the judge.

Listed winner at Bath on seasonal reappearance and recovered from bombing out at Newmarket when third in 5f Ayr Listed contest. More needed at this level but place claims if finding consistency.

Maintained perfect start to career when dead-heating in 6f Salisbury Listed contest last time. Didn't look at home on soft ground that day and likely conditions will be appreciated in this. Could be anything and is the leading contender.

Dual winner as a two-year-old and has been improving with every effort this season, including when only beaten a neck in 5f Listed contest at Ayr. Looks to prefer this trip and has each-way claims if still progressing.

Sole win came in a Goodwood maiden last season and well-held in every run since. Weakened into fourth in 7f Carlisle listed contest when last seen and has plenty to find on form. Stable's second string.

Consistent sort who gained deserved Listed win at Chelmsford in May before placing in next two starts, including when third at that venue (6f, standard) last time. More improvement is needed but can't be discounted.

Returned from lengthy absence when staying on fourth behind some of these rivals at Ayr (5f, good) on seasonal debut. Entitled to strip better for that effort but has been found out in this company before. Could go well at a price.

Inconsistent sort as a juvenile but notched valuable sales race over C&D before bombing out in Listed company at Redcar (6f, good) in October. Not seen since and plenty to do on seasonal debut. Fast ground and track is a plus though.

Hasn't progressed as hoped after 6f listed win as a Juvenile but wasn't beaten far in Haydock Group 2 before respectable fifth in Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot. That represents the best form on the table and return to easy 6f is a positive.

Progressive sort who has been improving with every run this season. Made her mark when landing 5f Listed race in France last time out and every possibility she will thrive at 6f. On the shortlist.

Consistent sort as a juvenile but failed to replicate that form in two starts this season. Distant 12th in Sandringham handicap at Royal Ascot and now has to prove she has trained on.

Verdict

A typically competitive Fillies' Group Three with many of the runners seeking some valuable black type. SHADES OF BLUE looked to be in full gear now in this seasons campaign after a lengthy absence and the manner of her Maisons-Lafitte victory suggests there's no reason why she cannot keep improving. Archer's Dream is another progressive sort who could be a group-race performer in waiting, but a pinch of salt must be taken with her last victory, while Perfection's Ascot run outs her in the mix. Royal Intervention and Glass Slippers would be dangerous to dismiss too.
