Has yet to translate some fair AW form to turf. Won on his handicap debut at Wolverhampton in December but has latterly struggled at Leopardstown and Gowran Park. More evidence of ability on turf before being willingly recommended.

Reared and unseated rider start on latest appearance having previously put in an above average performance over 6f here at the end of June. Not without a chance but others preferred.

Hung on grimly to win a big field handicap at Lingfield on his seasonal reappearance in June. He won on reappearance in 2018 and failed to follow up. Hard to assess and others make more appeal off his revised mark.

Produced his best run of the season so far at Bath over a mile on his penultimate start when third of 12, beaten by 1¾l. Disappointed last time out but respected off current mark.

Hasn't won since December 2014 but has been consistently placed of late albeit at lower levels. Needs to put a poor run behind him last time out (hampered at start) but on handy mark these days.

Promising fourth in a 7f handicap at Wolverhampton on debut for this yard early last month. Disappointed over the same C&D subsequently but dropping down in the weights and cannot be discounted.

Beaten 3½L when fourth over 7f at Wolverhampton in May. Given a short break he turned in a below par performance at this track last time out over 6f. Probably needs to drop a few more pounds in the handicap to get competitive.

Much more suited to the AW these days but ran creditably at Bath last time when upped in trip after struggling on his reappearance at Wolverhampton. Racing off a fair weight these days and certainly not out of the reckoning.

Has just one win from 28 and only rarely looks like winning. Did produce a decent effort three starts ago at Windsor but below par last twice. Not hard to find alternative winners but could squeak a place stepping up in trip.

Has been staying on steadily in his last two starts over six furlongs so it is no surprise to see him upped in trip here. Not the force of old but may be capable of another win off this mark.

Harbour Watch-filly who has never threatened to get involved in eight career starts. Yet another in this field who can be easily ruled out.

Best efforts have almost certainly taken place at this course but she's 0-45 (and only placed twice) so far and isn't one to have on the shortlist under any circumstances.

19 career starts without troubling the judge and ran poorly when last seen over 1m2f at Nottingham last month. Makes little appeal.

Verdict

It is the measure of the quality of leading contenders for this seven furlong event when the selection is a still a maiden after 17 races and was racing over 1m4f on his penultimate start. BILLIEBROOKEDIT was well backed last time out and doing his best work in the closing stages when finishing second over six furlongs at this track at the beginning of the month. He can break his maiden tag here ahead of Indian Affair who is another stepping up in trip after running well over a shorter distance. Other horses with possibilities include Kendergarten Kop, Gold Flash and Langley Vale.
  1. Billiebrookedit
  2. Indian Affair
  3. Mister Musicmaster
