Won a Hamilton maiden on debut and then got carried early and lost his way in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot. Physically impressed and likely he's a lot better than that and can bounce back in this grade.
Gelded son of Swiss Spirit sent off 50/1 and always in the rear on last month's Chelmsford 6f debut. Easy to dismiss in this company.
Maiden C&D winner and highly tried while struggling in two starts since, in Listed and then the Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot. Still not disgraced in the latter contest on her first start since leaving Jeremy Noseda and a big drop in class.
5L behind Fleeting Princess on C&D debut but regressive form in two starts since. Plenty of improvement required off these terms and others preferred.
Green and slowly away on debut when third at Hamilton and looked sure to improve for the run. Has avoided good to firm ground since so presumably may want some rain but a likely challenger.
Green and hung when clearly in need of the experience over this trip at Windsor in April. Needs to improve but that required level of progress isn't out of the question for this yard.
Promising fourth in a 5f novice contest at Windsor but failed to match that level when a well held third at Lingfield over the same trip. Debut effort would see her go close but has shaped as though she needs further.
Daughter of Mustajeeb showed plenty of pace at Newbury over 6f on debut before weakening badly from one furlong out. Could be better back in trip but big improvement needed in this company.
Forecasts
Bubbly Splash (9/4), Fleeting Princess (9/4), Better The Devil (9/2), Dreamy Rascal (9/2), Dynamighty (9/1), Intimate Moment (33/1), Dark Side Division (50/1), Conker (150/1)
BETTER THE DEVIL was thought good enough to try his hand at a high level on his second start where he had excuses and his debut win sets the standard. Fleeting Princess has also been highly tried and has to be considered back in grade while Bubbly Splash was in need of his debut and big improvement is expected.
- Better The Devil
- Fleeting Princess
- Bubbly Splash
